Good course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 19, 2020 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-This course has a great mix of short and long holes, some uphill, some downhill.
-The tee pads look well kept, with nice signs on the teepad, showing you where the basket is.
-I really like that it is still somewhat difficult, despite the fact that there are quite a few holes under 250 ft.

Cons:

-The signs on the teepads can get in the way, especially for righty forehand and lefty backhand.
-The teepads are a little on the shorter side, but they are nice and wide.
-Holes 1 and 18 are not available due to construction, or at least weren't as of the last time I played there.
-There is a ring of dirt around almost every basket now.

Other Thoughts:

Overall, a good course.

Pros:

Very well kept, clear signs, nice teepads, short, but challenging enough as to not be boring.

Cons:

The parking lots and sidewalks could be a pain, but on a Sunday before the start of the semester it wasn't too bad.

Challenging; for a shorter course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 15, 2008 Played the course:never

Pros:

The tee pads are very large cement pads, with rain groves in them, so they always provide sure footing. The grass is cut at least once a week. Trees and bushes are well groomed and replaced if damaged. Some baskets may be short, but basket placement really maximized the natures ability to keep things challenging when foliage is growing.(late Spring to late Fall)

There is almost never a wait to play, it could be because of the parking during the day.

Cons:

If you go play at 6pm to 9pm the bugs are terrible, bring bug spray.

The 300 yard walk from basket 7 to the 8th tee pad can be tedious when playing course more than once in a row, but does offer a cool down period at the same time. But it is clearly marked where to go with a nice sign.

If you hit a road with your disk, get to it fast, traffic doesn't seem to move for a disc. :(

Other Thoughts:

I gave this course a 4.0 because it is in perfect condition at all times, there are not to many people, and it can be challenging for the distance involved. Everything is clearly marked with very nice signs.

The course is on The Ohio State University's west campus. Parking from 2am-4pm on weekdays can be found at meters. $1.25 will supply enough time to play the course at a relaxed pace. From 4pm-2am on weekdays and 7am-2am on weekends/holidays parking is free in all " WC " (green signs) spots, 1,000's of places. During the free time you can park right at the first tee pad.

First basket is the longest at 360' .

The wind at this course can come out of no where, the directional cross winds on the back side of course (8-12) will prevent even the most stable disc from avoiding the parking lot if anhyzerd even the slightest.

For those of you who don't know there is 3 feet in a yard. Some simple math and you have your distance in feet.
