Pros:
The O'Leary School course is a nearly wide open field course which encircles one of the school buildings. Nearly all holes lack obstacles or challenge except for moderate distance, but that doesn't mean the course is without charm. One of the holes plays right near a triple jump strip complete with sand pit and another plays over a shotput or hammer throw fence.
Cons:
Tee pads: These tees might be some of the funniest ones I've ever seen! Coming in at about 12x12 INCHES, you really have to get your run up steps right to hit concrete on your release.
Boring: Trees or any sort of meaningful obstacle are sorely lacking - this isn't a fault of the designer, just the available land to work with.
Navigation: Good luck finding the little tiny teeing areas - once there though, it is fairly straightforward figuring out which basket you are headed to.
Other Thoughts:
While it is nice to have disc golf available so readily to local kids, I wonder if this course couldn't have been better tailored to their needs. A shorter course might have sufficed in this case to help ease kids into enjoying the game; plus, experienced players aren't going to play here anyway! When the young'uns get a bit older, then perhaps its time to head down the way to the bigger and better Southern Idaho or Rock Creek Courses.
