Pros:
- Nice clean park, clean indoor restrooms.
- It is a really quick play.
- Concrete tee pads.
- Offers a variety of shots for a relatively short 9 hole course. You have a short ace run, you have multiple rhbh hyzers, you have a couple of long (relative to this park) placement shots, you have shots that call for a right finish. You have good pin placement on several holes.
- Good course for kids and beginners. Good practice course for rec and intermediate players.
Cons:
- It is a compact course and one must be mindful of walkers (hole #1) and players on adjacent holes (holes 3 - 8). That also means that things could really back up if you get a group in front of you.
- If you don't like or fear dogs, this course is at a dog park. Some dog owners will occasionally use the course as an extension to the dog park.
- The course is almost unplayable in the rainy reason. Water collects on hole 2, around the green at hole 4, the fairway on hole 9, and the area between hole 1 and hole 9.
Other Thoughts:
When I first played here as a beginner, I didn't like this course at all. The more I've played it and as I've developed my game a bit, the more I've enjoyed it.
If you are open to playing a 9 hole park course at this length, I think you will enjoy this one.
Updating this Aug 28, 2021: Changed my rating from 3 to 2 for the following reasons:
- Hole #2 was cleared out for some work on gas lines (I think). It was the choice big sweeping left to right shot or a backdoor RHBH hyzer that required a lot more precision. Now it is a level wide open shot to a basket in the middle of a field.
- As disc golf becomes more popular, the safety concerns of holes so close together is a LOT more relevant.
- As I've played more courses and developed my game, my impressions of a course have evolved.
