Good practice/beginner course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 23, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Wide-open field great for practicing drives. Simple layout perfect for newer players who don't want to deal with much foliage and obstruction. Never crowded. Has a nice top of the world shot (not in course layout).

Cons:

Not very challenging for advanced players. Several holes share space with walking paths which are usually being used, slowing play. Not much elevation change, other than the top of the world shot, but, again, that's not part of the actual layout.

Other Thoughts:

I like this course for practice. The field is large, about 600' diameter, so I come here to work on drives. I rarely play the layout, however, as I do not find it challenging enough, shot-wise. When i take my wife playing, however, we always choose this course because it is never crowded.

Play it all the time. 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 30, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Great for local beginners before hitting up M.P. and an alternative to driving to P.D.S in Temecula.

The log on hole number 4 should be cut flat for a surface to sit on for the older crowd and those who want to rest before walking to 5. I love that addition, nonetheless.

high risk for disc losses are on the 3rd,4th,5th,and 8th hole. *the rest have reasonable amount of brush to find your disc (great for working on your throws and perfecting away from the typical beginner hyzer/anhyzer fades)

4th hole should have stairs/walkway to basket. I strained my Achilles a few times walking up.

The typical playtime can be from 30-40 minutes depending upon size and group skill.

Cons:

NO BATHROOMS! (Please, I have had to drive a couple miles back home to take a ****.) Not even a porta-potty is within range.

MUST LOOK AT COURSE MAP BEFORE PLAY. The signs/maps have been removed from play.
Clogged water-fountains.

Sometimes park patrons can get in the way of your shot. (takes time away from your concentration)

Prickly Buses
Spiderwebs everywhere on bushes behind basket 5. o.o

Other Thoughts:

BRING MORE DISC GOLF PARKS TO MURRIETA/TEMECULA. IT'S GROWING

For a 9 hole... It's fun.. some bombs 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 27, 2013 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

It's a really nice 9 hole course.
Has some tough LONG throws
Saturday afternoon, and no park goers got in the way at all.
Gorilla play available to make some of the shorter holes much longer
Had a lot of fun out here playing some doubles with friends.
Adds another cool course only 10 minutes away from Mountain pride.
A Really long, tough par 4 at about 850 ft.
2 other holes are 400+

Cons:

Has the same killer bushes as at Mountain pride, they just tear up your legs when you go to retrieve a disc.
If the park was busy could be dangerous, but I was there on a saturday afternoon and it was empty.
Not many obstacles right off the tee, so you get to choose your shot from the tee. There is more protection near some of the baskets.

Other Thoughts:

I had a lot of fun out here with some friends after the Murrietta monthly. It's cool to see a 9 hole that goes beyond a really short practice area. I'll stop by again next time I get up to play at Mountain Pride.
