Pros:

9 holes in a flat and open riverside park

+ Good baskets

+ Good use of the few trees around the property to protect some of the greens

+ The holes are decent lengths; you'll get a few chances to use your drivers

+ Nice waterside park, big enough that I doubt other park users cause much interference

Cons:

- Missing basket: you use the same basket for holes #4 and #5

- No tees, no signage. uDisc comes in handy: use GPS and the map to figure out generally where tees are

- Geese. Or at least lots of evidence of geese...

Other Thoughts:

~ The water is visible, but really only comes into play on #4 and #5, which share the same basket

~ A local explained a couple of tee locations for "the back nine." I admire the effort, but the topography really doesn't provide much to work with

~ Good location for field work, and it made for a nice warmup stop on the way to DE courses across the bridge, or if you're headed into NJ to play Stafford or Alcyon

the wind and water make it 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 8, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

The scenery is beautiful, a pond a disc's throw from the Delaware river. The wind is what made it fom me. The local climate near the water made for a challenging invisable obstacle that could suddenly pop your putt 4 feet over the catcher or keep your drive in the air, hovering much longer than you would expect. There are multiple jungle gym's in case you are a parent with a dg tolerant toddler in tow.

Cons:

So I think 3, 6 and 8 are the only numbered baskets. Also, finding tees for 8 and 9, I tried but literally had no inkling of where they could be after ten minutes of searching.

Other Thoughts:

Im a real newbie, but after reading the reviews and expecting the worst, I was pleasantly surprised. I believe I may return regularly as I pass close by on my long commute home from work.

Riverview dgc 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 19, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a reasonable course, not good by any standard but alright to come out and have some fun every once in a while. If you have the chance i would meet up with a local and play the alt tees, they incorporate more distance, variety and water and are overall probably about a three rating, but they are quite hard to find.

2 tees pee hole, although most dont create much of a different shot they make for a quick 18 hole round.

Not much variety, mostly open anywhere from 225-350. The wind ca. Pick up and reak havock on lightweight discs.
1- left to right, turn it over too much and your in the drink.
2 play the long tee on the island for an intersting shot over water about 350.
3- ace potential, straight, 225
4- tee off on a slightly elevated tee, left to right 325. Play alt tee back and to the right.
5 straight 275' water if you fade out early. Wlk farther back to find the alt tee
6 split two trees to an open fairway with a ditch to avoid on right. Alt tee on Other side of lake makes this a solid and challenging hole.
7 go left or right of a large tree and find yourself near the basket,
8 you can go left or right under a low ceiling to a protected basket. Ace potential
9 go right or left of a group of trees to get to. The basket 250 ace potential. Play back to 4s basket to avoid the walk.

Cons:

Open

Can get flooded, low lying spots can develop puddles after any rain.

Natural tees, the tees are on brick in the ground and the only way to find them is by looking for the worn in spots on the ground. Tee signs and next tee arrows would definately be helpful at this course.

Other Thoughts:

I enjoyed my round at pennsville its an nice stop right off the high way.

What they said 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 27, 2010 Played the course:once

Pros:

Wind is a challenge, and you'll get hit from all directions during your round. Lots of room to air out those drives. Decent distance on the holes. Well manicured park, quite pretty. Baskets are in fine shape. Park seems designed to keep the citizens away from the disc throwers.

Cons:

Would like to see more variety in the hole lengths. Tees not easy to find, and there is no signage. Never found tees 2B, 6B or 8B... though I know where I would have put them. Hole 9 finishes far from tee 1. Course gets very wet after rains.

Other Thoughts:

Not too much to add to what everyone else said. It's a reasonable recreational course, and a decent place to warm up on the way to the serious courses in Delaware. Bathroom was closed for the season.

High Fun Factor 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 15, 2009 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a pitch and putt course. All the holes are very open but a few have protected pins making ace tries impossible. Pretty much every hole has birdie potential if you have a good throw off the tee.
I was surprised at how short some of these holes were. I definitely don't have a big arm but I kept my max distance driver in my bag the whole day. There were even a few instances where my fairway driver went past the basket. It is always a let down to two putt back to the basket.
This is a great place to do some safari golf. I did this by mistake on the first run through.
This course is located in a great park. It has everything that a family could want: playground, trails, picnic areas and even fishing. There is an awesome breeze off the water, which is very refreshing on a warm day.

Cons:

The tee pads are just worn dirt patches with small rubber blocks set in the ground to mark the hole number. Most of them are uneven and many have roots growing throw them making footing a problem. Navigation of the first 4 holes is also a problem. With nothing to mark the tee pad but a worn patch of dirt and a small flat rubber square it is hard to find until you are right on top of it. I just walked around looking for bare patches to find the tee pads. Simple wooden posts with hole numbers would go a long way to fixing this problem. Tee signs would be great too but I understand the expense with this and they are not really as needed here as they are on other courses.

Other Thoughts:

This would be a great place to bring a couple of beginner friends to try out their new discs. At the same time it would be interesting for more advanced players because of the ace and birdie possibilities. It is also a great place to bring the family so they have something to do while you are playing.
The directions on the front page from DE direct you to take I-95 N, you should take I-95 N initially then merge onto I-295 N to NJ/NY. Other than that the directions are perfect. I also want to emphasize how accessible this course is from DE. It is literally right across the bridge and a short drive from northern DE. While there is no park fee there is a $3 toll coming back over the bridge.
