Pros:

- Beautifully manicured. Very well kempt, mowed, and clean. Players here obviously take care of their own.
- Dedicated to disc golf, aside from a small out-building at the beginning of the course, which also hosts a bocce ball court and a couple horseshoe pits.
- Mostly open, with a few longer holes to let you air it out.
- Dual pin placements, although the short placement on most is obviously meant to be very easy.
- Concrete tees in great shape.
- Very nice Innova Discatchers that are in great shape.
- Some of the nicest signage you will see on any 9-hole course. I mean it.
- Well-defined fairways mowed into the course, with "fair" rough. It's about a foot tall, and decently thick with bluegrass, clover, and large dandelion plants. It's more like a pasture than it is like a prairie, which is nice. Run-up in it is difficult, but finding your disc isn't incredibly frustrating. Still, you will want to be sure to track your shots as they land to avoid a little headache. If this grass got to 2 or 3 feet tall, it would be a con.
- Young maple trees that have been planted on the course definitely show the design intent, as well as support my assumption that this course gets great care from the local DG scene. In a few years when they grow larger, they will definitely add to some hole designs, as well as to help separate some fairways (while still keeping an open course layout).
- #3 is a perfect example of good use of the tree addition. It tees off with a row of maples just feet to the right of the pad. Good, unique fairway for a 9-hole course.
- #4 long position has two gaps to choose from down by the basket, while having to navigate around a medium sized pine tree in the middle of the fairway.
- #5 is very open, but the crux of this hole is hitting the 8' gap that is 30 feet straight in front of the tee pad.
- #6 is probably the signature hole of the course, playing across a small drainage creek, and through a small stand of trees. Very nice historic bridge across the creek on this hole also.
- #7 has a very cool long pin position, that requires a pin-point approach shot through one of 3 or 4 gaps about 10 feet from the pin.

Cons:

- Flooding occurs here from time to time, down on #2 and #6 baskets.
- Also, being close to the river and wet a lot of the time, it gets quite buggy. Especially when traipsing through the rough.
- Some of the fairways are closer together than they appear, which could cause some interference problems. The mowed fairways make it seem very separated, but 1, 4, 5, and 7 are all parallel to each other.
- #1 basket (long) is installed a little low to the ground. #7 basket (long) is leaning about 15 degrees downhill.
- Really, just not the most difficult or challenging of courses. Lacks variety

Other Thoughts:

- I will list hole #8 here, as I have mixed feelings on it. It is much better with the current tee pad position, straight away. The old, short and brutal dogleg layout was a bit janky. And it is nice having a technical wooded hole on the course, to add some variety. However, it's still not very memorable, and is probably my least favorite hole on the course.
- The course layout on some holes is a little uninspiring but I'm not going to list it as a con. With the available space, hole design really is quite good. But it sometimes still leaves a little to be desired. However, I commend the redesign, which has definitely improved the course. Adding length and additional difficulties on the long pins, as well as some new trees, was just what the doctor ordered.
- The feel of this course is a very professional one. From signage, to tee pads, to the nice, clean baskets. The course has precisely mowed fairways, and I have never seen any part of the course overgrown (aside from the rough getting a little tall).
- Not the most difficult of courses, but the magnificent upkeep nearly makes up for it. This 9-hole is absolutely worth your time.
