Other Thoughts:
If this was an 18 hole course, it'd be one of my favourite courses in Oregon. It's just beautiful, it feels more like La Mirada at times than anything in the NW.
The views are insane. Looking south from the course gives you a vew of a 400ish foot seasonal waterfall. Looking north, you have the columbia river, which is over a mile wide, and then on the other side there are more waterfalls cascading down the Washington cliffs. Add to that the fact that the area has a lot of Bald Eagles that come and roost on the course from time to time, it's just beautiful.
The course itself it awesome as well. You start off at hole one, which is something like 415' or so. Then the next hole you come to has skinny little routes through a thick group of trees. All the holes are good, all of them. It's a must play if you live in the PDX area and haven't gotten out there. Then, when you're done having a relaxing beautiful round of golf on the west course, go play the east course for a serious NC style butt-kicking!
