Schlater Park Disc Golf 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Nov 18, 2016 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

This is a great course for the beginner Golf player like myself. Not a lot of tree obstructions to get in your way to learn how to play. Well maintained by park employees who even gave us a friendly wave as we had to wait for him to cut the grass in the area we played.

Cons:

while it is a great course to learn on, It still does have areas you need to be careful of or you can loose some discs. The front nine is where most of the problems can occur. Marshy areas, housing, and a small pond. Back nine is very fun to let loose on some drivers. The other con I have is that this is in a low area and any rain will make a few holes unplayable. There is no runoff for the water so it tends to pond and doesn't soak in. We have had to skip a few holes that just had too much standing water on the course.

Other Thoughts:

This is a great park for many people to enjoy. My wife loves to Pokemon Go and this has a walking track with at least 10 pokey stops so she can walk while I play Disc Golf. Not a great course if you are PRO LEVEL players, but excellent for beginners like myself. Did manage a par on the 18th first time out. Very fun course to play as beginners need places to learn how to play and this is a great course for that....
