Pros:
If you are a beginner, it could be fun. Everything is short and straight.
Cons:
Seven Springs rebuilt the course in a new area. It no longer matches the original course that you may find a map and scorecard listed on this web site. It is very simple, basic and short. Not what I expected. Like the title says, very disappointed. No tee pads, no signage and a lot of broken chains on baskets. But even if you are a beginner, its can be challenging because errant shots can easily be lost in the tall weeds that line the fairways.
Other Thoughts:
Here's how my experience went. I bought two $10 lift tickets up to the top, one for me and one for my partner. The woman I bought the tickets from in the main lodge was rather clueless about the course or where we were supposed to go to. We eventually made it out to the lift and headed up the hill. As we rode up, I pulled up the course map on my phone and attempted to locate tee and basket locations which was futile as I could find none. Even the guy at the top of the lift that hold the chair for you as you hop off didn't know where the course was. We walked to where the first tee was supposed to be and didn't find it. We walked some more and eventually found a basket near the Tahoe Lodge. We went inside the lodge to inquire about the course, a Seven Springs employee walked us out to show us where the first tee was, it was marked with a tall red stake that if you walked by you would think it was placed there by a survey crew or power company to mark something underground. He also told us the course was moved and shorted to only 9 holes for the "white shoe" crowd. So don't expect anything challenging if you play there. There are only 9 holes which start next to the Tahoe Lodge and run downhill from there. I was told if I wanted to play a second round to make it 18, I would have to pay for another lift ticket up to the top. Simple red stakes marked the tee, and the baskets. Most holes are about 200 ft in length and none are very challenging. They are placed sequentially almost in straight line moving downward. There was one that was kinda long, it was closer to 300 ft. But most of the holes are in the 200 ft. range, except for the last three, they are piddly 50-75 ft. After playing, the funnest part of the round was lunching a few off the side of the hill down toward parking lot.
If I knew that the course was this pathetic, there is no way I would have drove out to there to check it out.
I wanted to post this to save someone else the disappointment and letdown I experienced. Bummer.
