Pros:

This 18-hole ski resort course is free to play, and that in itself is great. Although the course plays in the main run of the ski resort, there didn't seem to be other summer activities like mountain biking or hiking that got in the way.

The course plays up the main ski run for most of the holes, and then steeply back down for the finale. Many of the early holes are steep uphill throws over open ground. For the most part the holes are par 3 in the 300' range, but there are a few longer including a 600'+ uphill par 5.

On the way up there are a few holes that play across the width of the ski run, and bring the trees lining the run into play. Often the tee is back in the trees a little ways, with the basket on the other side, also tucked back into the trees. None of these holes are really heavily wooded, as most of your drive is over open ground.

Good Innova baskets, with the yellow band showing up well when placed in the trees.

Tee pads are large pieces of carpet which worked surprisingly well. They are flat and level. Tee signs were very basic, with hole number, distance, and par. No hole diagrams, but on most holes you can see the basket from the tee.

Hole 18 is a great top-of-the-world hole. Length is 675' with (I'd estimate) 150' down to the basket. Every ski resort course needs a finishing hole like this one!

Cons:

Much of the course is uninspired uphill drives over open ground. The grass was tall and thick in many areas.

There seems to be some livestock grazing on the course, so there was a variety of temporary fencing on the course. It could all be stepped over or through, but it was odd to have a fence going right up the middle of a hole. Some areas of ground were a little chewed up and muddy from the livestock.

A few baskets were not visible from the tee, and on the longer holes a diagram on the tee sign would have been welcome. Having to walk a few hundred feet over steep terrain to spot the basket was a bit of a trudge!

Other Thoughts:

The day I played the ski resort itself seemed almost abandoned. Everything was locked up, and things looked a little run down. But all of the tee pads and baskets were in decent shape, and I played my round with no problems.
