Tightly wooded and lesser known course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 10, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

- Lesser known. More often than not, you'll have the course to yourself.
- Location. Sweden Town Park is a short bike ride/drive from campus. Great place to go to before or after classes if you're a Brockport student.
- Multiple ace runs. There are a handful of holes that are short with minimal trees in the way. So aces are definitely possible for intermediate players.
- Course can be played in under an hour

Cons:

- No signage. You'll more than likely need someone who's played the course to show you around.
- No real tee pads
- Lots of thorns around multiple baskets and fairways
- Mud. If it rains even a little bit, most holes will be a mud pit

Other Thoughts:

Frankly, this course is nothing to write home about. If you're not a Brockport student, I don't think this course is really worth traveling to unless you're already in the area. But it does have a lot of potential. A map, signs at the tee pads, and some actual tee pads would make this course fantastic.

This course has a lot of sentimental value for me. This was the first course I ever played on, and where I fell in love with disc golf. I've played this course probably over 100 times and even though I've moved on from Brockport and moved out of state, I often find myself comparing every course I play to this one and wanting to come back to play this course.

I made a lot of good memories at this course and would definitely encourage folks to try it out!

Better then Rated 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 8, 2012 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

A few open holes but mainly wooded and built for accuracy. Most holes have good lanes to the basket. Nice baskets. Around football and baseball fields that make it fun rip thru a few bags a discs to get a judgement on drive power. Easy navigation.

Cons:

Can get pretty muddy. Just since October I have noticed that many of the hole and next tee signs have come up missing which could make it hard to navigate for first time players. Could use some better mat tee's for the muddier holes. Falling off lanes and into roughs can take some extra shots to get back on track.

Other Thoughts:

Whats everyone's deal with hole 1? Yes its narrow and about as harsh as a rough can get but its a short par 4, just play it smart and dont let overconfidence and wanna be big arm get the best of you.
