Pros:
Tee Signs - The signs are descriptive and seemed to be accurate.
Baskets - All baskets are brand new Mach X and are in very good shape.
Natural beauty - This course, while next to some baseball fields, is still very pretty among mostly older trees on a very low use road.
Cons:
Tee pads - All pads are natural grass and some are a little uneven due to the field grass that the course is mostly comprised of. If anything was done to fix this, rating would go up 0.5 or so.
Safety - I thought that the basket for 7 was in danger of being hit with a shank off 5. Maybe not a huge danger, but definitely a possibility, if this course is ever busy.
Hole 2 - I do not like hole 2. This course feels like it is designed for rec players or low level intermediate. Hole 2 requires a 380 foot shot to clear a pond and I don't think that is in the wheelhouse for most rec players. The worst part is that there is no bailout option for this hole. I am a decent intermediate player and I still layed up about 100 ft before crossing the water. To me, unless you are advanced or better, this hole almost requires a layup off the tee. I don't feel like it fits with the rest of the course. There is also no mando, so one could actually play over the tees for 5 and 8 and the basket for 4 with no penalty, which I think falls into the safety category as well.
Other Thoughts:
Parking - I parked just off the paved path next to 9 and it is a good thing I did. Hole 7 plays directly over the only area that remotely looks like a parking area. Hole 5 is also in danger of hitting this "parking area." If more than a few are ever here at the same time, parking will be a challenge.
