Fun, short, 9-hole course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 26, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

-- Beautiful park setting, and the disc golf course is the only activity in that area, so you shouldn't see non-disc golfers on the course.
-- Tee signs are good, as are the tee pads.
-- Map near the No. 1 tee.
-- Good lines for mostly shorter.
-- The flow is logical (except 7 to 8).
-- Trash cans.
-- Course doesn't overly favor one style of throwing (RHBH, etc.).
-- Many ace runs, but there are enough obstacles to make you work for a good score.
-- There is mulch in the fairways.
-- A lot of shade.

Cons:

-- Not cart friendly. To reach the first tee, most people will walk across a dam in the pond. Every 2-3 feet is a concrete "curb." Getting a cart over that is tricky. To go round that requires either a longer walk on a sloped bank toward the No.1 basket or a longer walk the other direction around the pond and toward the No. 9 tee. Also, the walk from 7 to 8 is long and the course directions take you through woods, etc. that would be extremely difficult with a cart. You can cross from 7 and come out by the No. 9 tee and walk up the No. 8 fairway since there is seldom much traffic on the course.
-- Only two holes longer than 220 feet and only one longer than 300.
-- Several baskets have the chains chained to the ground. Not a big issues, but a few of them are tight enough to impact putts, especially coming back.

Other Thoughts:

-- A RHBH thrower could end up in a neighbor's yard on No. 2 very easily; extra caution here is advised.
-- Water is only 20-25 feet behind the No. 6 basket.
-- This is a fun course, especially if you are not into grip-and-rip and prefer accuracy over distance.

Neighborhood Peace 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Sep 24, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice short solid 9 hole course.
Course map at hole 1.
Good tee sign.
Concrete tees.
Baskets in good shape.
Very well taken cared for course.
Mulch has been placed down in the wooded area to keep from getting too muddy.
Good mixture of right & lefty holes.
Trash cans on a few holes.
Really good for a quick round.
Also good for working on putter and mid game.

Cons:

A little too short.
A few baskets are chained down a looped into the chains.
The walk from 7's basket to 8's tee is a little bit of a walk and confusing.

Other Thoughts:

Great little course would be fun to have in the back yard.
Beginner friendly.
Course could of been stretched a little more.

A pleasant suprise 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 17, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

This is a well maintained course with good signage and excellent tee pads in a quiet neighborhood.
Rounds will play quickly and this is a good beginner course.
There are good lines here for the holes being on the shorter side.
The flow is logical and there were trash cans to help keep the littering down. Good pin placements to challenge but not frustrate and there were some low ceiling shots too.
1 uphill shot on #8 and a bit of a downhill shot on #9. Hole 9 also had a small water threat on the left hand side of the hole to keep you honest. There is a good mix of both left and right shots and many holes have ACE RUN potential. There is mulch in the fairways to help with erosion and compaction.
A more experienced player could use this course to help them improve their mid range game.

Cons:

The transition from 7's basket to 8's tee pad was a tad odd. You had to walk down/around/through a stream bed to get there. It was wet and slick upon my visit and seemed like maybe a better way could've been devised somehow.
I could see an errant throw for a RHBH thrower to make its way into a neighbor's yard on 2 very easily, extra caution here is advised.
6's tee pad might have debris/mud on it after a heavy rain but should still be playable.
Mostly flat with a couple of exceptions and the rough might be a tad thorny here or there, however it appears some clearing out has taken place recently.

Other Thoughts:

Honestly I was pleasantly surprised by this course. Yes the holes are short but I had fun here. I has just enough challenge to keep things interesting and the chance to run the chains is always fun. This would be a good warm up course before you go and play a longer course nearby, and its a good place to take a newer player to the sport that is looking for a bit of a challenge but doesn't want to feel overwhelmed.
If you are into a grip and rip course this is not the place for you. At the same time if you are looking for a wide open course again you will be disappointed.
If however you enjoy a shorter course that has just enough lines to hit then this course will hit the mark.

Private course, but friendly locals 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 27, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Quiet neighborhood, beautiful pads, well kept, short but challenging holes.

Cons:

Short holes.

Other Thoughts:

I liked this course, it was short, well thought out and well designed. The course is fun and a much needed break from the normal "bomb" course.

Scenic Birdiefest 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 3, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

This is a fun little course located in a very nice neighborhood community center. Most of the holes are very short, but several have enough trees to make things interesting and force you to make an accurate, sometimes uncomfortable throw. There is a little bit of elevation change on the last couple of holes, my favorite part of the course. The baskets are good, but could use more chains to catch discs....there are open spots to nothing but pole. Concrete tee boxes. Signs with hole number, distance, and diagram of the hole. Very well kept, nice looking course. I really enjoyed playing here.

Cons:

The course isn't anything spectacular, but there isn't anything wrong with a short, fun little neighborhood course. It is intended for use by those that live in the neighborhood technically, so it is great for that. The ground was extremely marshy between 7's basket and the pathway to hole 8. However, if you backtrack down 7's fairway you can use a bridge to get to 8's tee box.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 9's sign says 329 feet. It is NOT 329 feet, probably closer to 380 feet. It seemed like a couple of the other distances posted were incorrect also, but I don't remember which holes those were.

Notta bad 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 2, 2012 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Notta bad little course. The fun factor is just ok but there was alot of work put in here. There are nice concrete tees on all the holes along with nice signage. The course is very easy to follow and isnt too hard on the new players. It is very righty friendly and there isnt really any place to lose plastic unless there is a really BAD shot. The course is a change even for the more advanced golfers as well. The holes are short but there are many holes with trees off the tee that can get ya. You have to be very accurate to score here and if your not your just going to par yourself to death. Hole 9 is purdy!

Cons:

The little creek that goes through there is pretty nasty. The drainage looks bad and it is still very muddy in spots even though it hasnt rained in quite some time. Backyards could come into play in certain areas. Not worth the drive alone to go here but if your in the area, get ya some.

Other Thoughts:

When I read previous reviews I went out expecting a baby course where there were going to be easy holes that provide no challenge and that was not the case at all. Yes the course is short but its not a birdie fest at all. As I was leaving I noticed a green brick in the ground marking 10's tee, so there are obviously a second set of tees but didnt have the time to look. I'll look for sure if I go back out here and update if I find them, if somone knows where they are let me know.

nice little course 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 15, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Very nice little 9 holes course tucked between a pond, creek and homes.

The holes are short, but not necessarily easy.

the course is very well marked and easy to find your way, after you find hole 1.

Cons:

Not very challenging. Short holes and all but one were right to left hyzer shots.

Privet course technically not open to the public.

Other Thoughts:

I just parked in the main parking lot and walked over to the course with my putter and Roc. I pretty much had a putt on every hole except the one I hit the tree right in front of the tee pad.

the course was fun enough that I nearly played two rounds. It did only take me about 15-20 to play all 9 holes.
