Pros:
Great course design. The course makes great use of the terrain, paths, and elevation. Some fantastic par 4s and 5s to challenge your driving accuracy. The design utilizes OB well and I love the use of the fence on hole 18 to shape your approach.
There is a fantastic mix of tight vs open shots to test all aspects of your game. Also a good mix of left- and right-turning shots. There are some fun ace runs as well.
Each hole has a blue, white, and red tee which makes the course enjoyable for all skill levels. There is ample parking, a port-a-potty on site, a shelter, and a playground all at the beginning of the course.
Tee signs are easy to follow. There are also two huge signs at the beginning of the course explaining disc golf and the rules, but having two of them seems redundant. Also, there is a 2012 Alberta Tour schedule which is outdated and isn't required.
Cons:
The baskets are the biggest con. They are uninviting and the chains are extremely heavy (on the front 9). The back 9 baskets catch better but they aren't as sturdy.
Hole 5 has a mando off the tee, but the pole that is used as the mando is only a few feet tall. It's impossible to tell if you made the mando unless a spotter stands right at it to let you know if you crossed on the right side of it or not.
I understand that the bugs can be quite the nuisance, but we recently played after a rainstorm so we didn't experience much in the way of mosquitoes.
Other Thoughts:
If you miss a fairway, you will be punished hard. The rough can act like a jungle on most of the holes. Stay on the fairway and you'll score well.
Use a spotter as often as you can. Lots of holes are big bombs that can punish inaccurate drives.
