Straight Line Discs - January 14th - Turner Park

Like he said just dont overthink your shots and youll be ok. There are only a few bind shots, other then that you can see the basket/green so you should be ok

This course is much more difficult than average, and probably one of the 3 most difficult in DFW. Pars would be great, but I tend to just go for 4 on many holes and 6 or 7 on about three of them. My best score on it is a 73, and that was my first time playing it.

Much of the course is hilly and difficult to walk. Conserve energy and be careful. I've hurt myself more often and more severely on this course than on any other course. Most of the water is shallow and discs are typically retrievable, but there is some disc eating water in a few spots.

Just capped out. All full.

Sorry man. We can get you on a waiting list if you would like. These DFW events fill fast so you can never delay.

No worries. I'm coming from Austin so I can't make the trip unless I know for sure I'd be playing. Y'all have fun and hopefully I'll catch the next one!

Feb 25th - The Vet

Sign-Ups will be ready on Monday.

Kaufman we need to go play am doubles, I'm off that weekend I believe, let's figure it out on our way to dominate all those Dallas folks.

As far as Lisa playing rec, the TD said there have to be 2 players to support a division, not 3, so she should be able to play rec if Stacie signs up as expected.

Your right I don't know where I came up with three. Lisa is on a waiting list. Did Stacie decide not to play?

So I f'd up. I signed up yesterday morning at 8am. Thinking I put myself and my man on the paypal to be paid. To my surprise I am on the list to play and he is not. What?? Checked my paypal account and I only put myself on there. O $hit. Now he is on a waiting list with 12 other peps. He doesn't know yet.

What to do. I feel so bad and mad. grrr.

#bottomcard

I'll be there…just gonna try n stay off the bottom card…

My brother will be registering later today, does Rec still play for trophies only? Also, how is a 905 rated player playing in Rec?

Yes, rec is only for trophies, but we get a larger players pack.

The 905 rated player is a buddy of mine, and as Jenb correctly stated, he started the points series in Rec as <900 rated, his rating has gone up since. Wouldn't call him a bagger tho, this will only be his 4th(?) tourney as a PDGA member. He's gonna hav to move up after the series is over…

900 is the cut off for rec. If the player signed up before the rating update was made and he was under 900 at sign up, then he is clear. I still think he should be player INT though.

i dont know the 905 rated player, but for purposes of the NTTS its smart for him to stay at REC, since hes played 2 previous Series tournaments as REC

I did not know if your rating went up you could stay in that same category. I was going based off of: http://www.pdga.com/files/documents/PlayersDivisionGrid.pdf
