Classic Review lines

Seeing pics of Mason Park and looking over it makes me think maybe some of us as DGers when we see this should put a post up of the course that is in trouble and see if we cant get volunteers to meet up one day and just clean up the trash and repair what we could, even if it is just a moch fix like putting clamps under the basket to hold it up on the pole.

My regular course, Roscoe Ewing; I noticed Sunday that a few of the baskets were bent within a week from the last time a played and I couldnt be angrier.

From a review entered today by a person with 3 courses played and his first review:

Pro's: There is a good mix of open and technical shots on the course, as the trees, buildings, and conditional objects (cars, people, etc.) offer some good obstacles to the shot.

:D

richard00 review of coopers gulch was interesting,

"All in all, a good course, but probably not the best course ever."

especially since it is the only course he has played.

"PROS: nice short shoots... Like the sand good for skip shoots. Favoite hole is the par 2 very short shoot. Bring water
Cons: not laid out good got lost trying to find next hole on alot of them
Other Thoughts: cdxx"

I am not sure if this is english. What does cdxx mean? Honestly I have no idea what that means.

My newest review: "Newbies scores here will be higher than my Asteroids arcade scores from the nineteen eighties"

:D

"If I lived in Snohomish and played this course all the time, my arm would probably atrophy away to nothing and I would look like a Tyrannosauros rex BUT I would have more career aces than Ken (Freaking World Champion) Climo."

The Valkyrie Kid, on Ferguson Park in Snohomish WA

I liked this line too: "This would be a great course for you ........... if you were 2'8" tall like Mini Me. It's like a minature disc golf course."

Not to mention the score card for that course, where it says "repair all divots". WTF do they think we are ball golfurz?

This one literally made me laugh out loud:

"I lie here in the fetal position trying decide whether I should put my discs on ebay tonight, or sleep on it. But I know there will be no sleep for me..."

i think these are the kind of people that call me saying they can't follow my home course..we have arrows on every basket pointing you to the next tee..there are clear walking paths and it takes a little more than common sense to follow ANY disc golf course..unless the baskets AND tees arent numbered..some people are fluent with the writing and others, like me, need to stop reviewing courses!! hahaha

From my review of Oakland Mills

Other Thoughts: I almost played this twice, I was coming back from a tournament and he asked if we should hit this course on the way back. We stopped in the parking lot and after playing dankwardt and rodeo, we said screw it and just went home. It was hot out, and even the awesomeness of disc golf wasn't going to have us endure the heat for that course.

"If you like boring golf where you constantly throw at other golfers and park users, Prairie Park is your course."

by Three Putt, Prairie Park in DeKalb IL

"I guess to me Sugaw is like that special girl you first meet. You're so taken in by her beautiful face that you didn't notice that her behind is the size of Deleware."

The Valkyrie Kid on Sugaw Creek in Charlotte NC

(BTW, notice that TVK has 978 Helpful votes. He's almost our first Diamond Level TR. How cool will that be?)

Here's a great title that made me smile:

Shorter than a book on French war heroes.

I've finally made it! Yes! I'd like to thank the academy, TimG...

Seriously though, Sloppydisc is a good reviewer, I've been following his work here recently and I'm surprised he's not a TR yet.

I was talking to Apoth about this one on this very course the other day. Course is in a bit of a shady neighborhood:

i asked one of them why so many pigs were out there and he said "dont worry...this park is the safest place in the area". otherwise, its a good use of its space, if youre not worried about getting cancer from the high-tension lines above and dont mind heavy police presence, i highly recommend it.

Spot on accurate.
