Sorry, I tried to get excited about the Dart. I failed. I still get excited about a good Aviar, though.

Ok, the Dart has my attention. If anyone gets on and dosent like it, I have a black Star Aviar that I will trade for it.
I suppose anything is possible.
Way back in the day I was hanging around where some players were talking to Dave Dunipace, I think it was at a KC Wide Open. Anyway, somebody said something about Innova "copying" the Cyclone with the Gazelle. Dave D said it wasn't possible because he doesn't look at or throw discs from other companies. He said his disc ideas came to him in dreams and he never paid any attention to what other companies were doing. If you believe that (and I'm not sure that I do) then Innova would not be doing anything in reaction to another companies disc.
Latitude 64 caught Innova's attention a few years ago. They have launched Discmania as their thinly-veiled Innova Europe brand to protect their market share in Europe from them.Never paid any attention to what other companies are doing? I call shenanigans on that one. Were that true, that would be bad marketing analysis, and you dont get the level of market share Innova enjoys today by being short-sighted or dumb.
Whats true is Innova holds their cards pretty close to the vest. DG is still a fledgling industry, and will become more competitive as it enters the mainstream, like surfing did 5 years ago. The market will grow and new companies will enter to compete with the former market leaders. Look at recent developments, such as the Team Innova member (cant remember his name) who left to join Latitude 64. Its happening folks, whether Innova admits it or not.
On the plus side, it does seem as if Innova will now be putting the flight ratings on all of their new discs. Now if only everyone understood what they mean
They ARE lining up to buy a disc that is basically nothing more than a small-diameter Aero made from Omega SS-ish plastic. They are doing this because it is the latest, greatest disc from Innova.

There was a run of CE Aviars in yellow (possibly in gold also) that were Big Bead, circa 2001 or 2002 I believe.
Everything I remember from that run was beadless. I've got a yellow beadless CE Aviar from 2001 on the shelf, from what I recall. I never saw any big-bead CEs.
There was a run of CE Aviars in yellow (possibly in gold also) that were Big Bead, circa 2001 or 2002 I believe. The current Champ Aviars are either small bead or beadless, I'm not sure if there's really a difference. If you only think there are 5 or 6 Aviars, you're selling them short. Off the top of my head, I can think of:
1. Aviar P&A
2. Star Aviar P&A
3. Champ Aviar P&A
4. Star Aviar Driver (Big Bead)
5. CE Aviar (Big Bead, discontinued)
6. Pro Aviar Driver (Big Bead, discontinued)
7. KC Aviar Driver (Big Bead)
8. JK Aviar Driver (Big Bead)
9. Classic Aviar P&A
10. Glow Aviar P&A
Who knows, there could be more.
is it beadless or the putt and approach mold with the small bead? i have a couple of them too but thought they were the small bead off the top of my head. got a bunch of the omegas that were basically the same thing too. i'll try to remember to check when i go home.
Got my dart today and it is soft!

It really does remind me of my Gumbputt (not quite as soft but close). It isn't that domey, very much like a smaller diamater aero like everyone has said.

Also, it flexed to this point quite easily.

All in all I like the plastic but not the disc. Too used to the aviar. Can't wait for it to be released in this plastic (BG ams?).
