They just seem to like to run away or hide.

Cases in point:

1) The first time I threw mine it disappeared for 30 minutes
2) We played Oregon park and a guy lost a neon green one in the wide open which I found and returned.
3) Every time CraigD throws his it plays hide and seek for a minute or two
4) Today we were leaving Alexander after playing 9 and a guy was hurrying back towards the course. He asked us if we had seen a Champ Orc on 13...

So...what is with these little bastards? :p

Its an orc! That was a short thread

A Champ Orc almost took out my ... ummmm, little buddies ... after being thrown by another player on another hole. I think there must be some malice dust sprinkled in with the plastic.

Thats why I dont throw them. I have enough bad luck, I dont need a special dust;)

I think the champ ones get the most malice dust sprinkled in....all the ones I speak of have been champs.

I love that orc. I can't help it if is almost a camouflage color. That thing has brought me more birdies than any other disc. Well almost, there is my wraith, sidewinder, tee bird, well you get the picture. I am just glad Christy is good at spotting discs when they wind up in sticky situations.

Good to know if I ever decide in throwing one. Ill throw the star, I guess

I think they're nocturnal. Mine takes the first opportunity it gets to fade into trees at day, but during night golf it threads the fairway with the grace of a bat.

I found a champ orc a few weeks ago, but it has managed to behave nicely for me. I had never thrown an orc until i found this one, and i like it a lot.

Got a orange champ for Father's Day. It's been on out twice at the practice field. Seems to be behaving nicely so far. Guess I'll see how it acts around trees on Thursday. Hope it doesn't try to hide, I really like the way it feels.

The only solution for these discs is to find the nearest water hazard and drown them. That'll show them for not liking their owners.

My first ace (skip-in) was with a pink Champion Orc. Everyone always gave me crap for having a pink disc (while I wore my pink t-shirt, nonetheless), but when I got that ace, I KNEW it was going in the second it left my hand--I even knew it was skipping in, which is a bit harder to predict, but it just felt right. I barely throw it anymore 'cause it's so beat up, but I love it.

Maybe the pink ones get teased by their woodborne brethren and would rather just stay in the bag.

Not dissin' the pink discs, I have 2 purple ones....those Orcs though...rather uncouth lot.

I don't see why they're so hard to find. Mine is always on the left of the fairway. If in doubt, I just keep looking more left. :)

i love my orc and have never had to look hard for it because it's pink. for all of you who have played DeLa in santa cruz, i use it on hole 1, 2, 25, for the long uphill shots.
