I recently picked up the westside giant because I don't have a single disc with a similar. flight pattern. The numbers on the disc are 13/5/1/4 if I'm not mistaken. That seems pretty overstable to me, but I haven't had a chance to throw it yet. I am just wanting to know people's thoughts on thus disc, and what kind of shots you like to use this disc for. Thanks!

Very overstable for me. I carry one in VIP Plastic for long hyzer shots, spike hyzers, the rare occasional forehand or overhand shot, a very strong headwind shot.

Consistently overstable in VIP and I've used it a lot for medium to max distance hyzers (200ft+), overhand shots, and headwinds. My most memorable throw with the Giant was into a headwind on hole 18 at Hanson Hills, which is a 600ft downhill par 4 on a ski hill. I threw it flat and hard about 10 feet off the ground and the Giant kept a super straight line with about a 2-3 fade at the end. Bird. I was so impressed that I threw a Sword for comparison on the same hole with the same form and couldn't believe the difference. That's when I knew it had a place in my bag.

Just get out and throw!

Such a great disc. One of my go to discs, especially in a head wind. If you get tp plastic it can turn into an extremely straight flier. I also find it to be one of the most comfortable discs to throw for the wider rim high speed discs.

It's beefy!! I use a VIP for monster forehands where I probably over torque too much at times. 168 Tournament has become a great fast super stable BH driver for me. Let me know if you don't like it :)

I agree the VIP is really OS. I use the VIP mainly as a utility disc or in serious headwinds. The GL is really nice for long shost when you want a harder finish then a destroyer or sword can do.

Cheers - Koffee

This thread needs some lovin'.

I pair this with a Cannon and a Stiletto and it's such a ballin combination. I throw Trespasses as well but I love this disc.

It is such a reliable disc, however I don't think it is as OS as advertised, which is a good thing.

I have one thats seasoned and its so tasty. It flies straight then dumps pretty hard, but I love this for carving out tight s-curves in the woods. It is such a consistent disc. Wheres the giant love?

Still got the same VIP one in my bag from my previous response in the thread. It was the only thing on my final round of the gbo that wouldn't flip in that massive headwind. It's why I gifted my stiletto. I just didn't have a need for it when I have the giant which is more usable and consistent for my weak game. :D

My VIP Giants are kickazz. I throw them slightly turned into a pretty raging wind and get some tight s curves that get WAY more distance than anything else I've thrown with a modicum of control into that kind of wind. I just got a TP Giant...Yesterday it was kind of ridiculously overstable, but still had good glide. I deflashed it and I'm anxious to see how it performs. I've been partnering it with a Champ Tern on one side and an Opto Stiletto on the other end...So as you can see the Giant covers a lot of that middle ground.

For sure. How do you deflash? I'm about to try sandpaper

I rubbed it off with a microfiber towel. I just go back and forth like I'm playing some speed metal on guitar.

I got this connect in an email without the context and got a good laugh out of it lol

This disc is definitely still in the bag. I didn't realize it was such a great disc to have!
