Well, let's see what we all got from Pike in our $20 grab bags. I'll go first.
176 X-Clone (8/10), 175 Polaris LS (5/10), 170 Polaris LF (7/10) and a 148 DX Cheetah (7/10, clovered top).
For my $20 I got about $20 worth of base plastic, if I paid retail for them today at the local PIAS. So I suppose I can't be dissatisfied, since this was clearly a gamble, which I keep telling myself in all cases means BUYER BEWARE.
I did get four discs instead of three, which was a nice touch, but none are desirable nor bear even a vague semblance to my stated preferences: Whippet, Gator, Rhyno, Firebird, Eagle, Tank, Sniper, Comet.
It may be that there weren't any of those molds among those 600+ discs being touted as "everything from collectible tourney discs from the 90s, rare collectibles, circle and half-circle Innova. . ." Or maybe there were, but better molds and premium plastic might be going a different route than to those of us with grab-ass bags.
Pike's developing feedback shows that some buyers so far are happy with their discs, others not so much.
I applaud the creativity of Pike's sale, and with even one preferred mold, or any single un-preferred disc in premium plastic I would have called it a "positive" transaction.
