Introducing SD, Salient Discs

And my philosphy is, a disc is only a dangerous as the thrower.

There is some truth to this. But, it's kind of like "guns don't kill people, people do."

I hope my posts don't come off as hating. That 189 number just jumped out at me, and I am curious to see what the final specs are.

Could be copyright reasons behind that.

I don't think they apply because the character Prometheus is firmly in the Public Domain.
In fact, if you released a movie titled Prometheus right now, I don't think there would be any legal recourse.

Spelling it different is certainly a choice, and there are probably reasons, but I am not really a fan. Then again, if it flies right or is the right price, they could name it the Poop and I'd be on board.

Whether you get hit with. Speed 9 rim or a speed 14, heck even a speed 2 at full speed its going to hurt... Unless you mean something completely different dealing with safety issues, its just a bigger rim

CORRECT! I have a cool a$$ scare only my left eye socket just below my eyebrow from a D putter someone threw at the PRACTICE basket at the Glass Blown Open!!! Blood gushed everywhere and it hurt bad before I even teed off on hole #1

touche, Big Sky.

I like the idea of the name. Prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to man. I say stick with it, and spell it the same as the mediocre movie that basically mucked up the original Alien movie franchise.

Or...Throwmetheus. (Move fast, I'm gonna copywright that one! lol)

Prometheus is a good name. I could totally see naming Discs after Greek Titans and/or Gods.

You could call the Driver that floats in water Poseidon.

The Ultra overstable disc could be Zeus.

The fastest Disc could be Hermes

etc.

I didn't take it as hate. Just, I don't see that it'll be much more dangerous than a Champ Boss, etc. Building safety into discs is a limited proposition.

Plus, the extra weight = larger diameter. That to me implies no more density, and possibly more D with less velocity. One of the physics dudes on here probably needs to shut me down on this one.

I guess I am the only nerd which is excited about the fact that the process's which they use to mold will be ISO certified. That means documented control procedures which result in consistent results. WOO!!! About f'n time. What certification are you going to be under? 5001, 9001?

P.S. If you guys ever need help in processing ISO documents to continually be set for the inspections you must pass, let me know. I did that for a couple years for a few different companies (all of which are still ISO certified).

Youre prolly right I/r/t the copyright, just a thought.
Now, everyone go bitch about the rhyno lol
