[Dynamic] Dynamic Discs Warden

I love the p3, I HATED the depth of the p2 but loved the flight pattern.

I've been using Wardens and P3s but I just snagged an aviar3, it's shallow and flat top which makes me happy. Trying them out today!

You can check out my review of the AWESOME Aviar3 in the Aviar3 thread. I am really loving the Av3 on longer throws that need solid overstability. I still am bagging the Classic and Fluid Wardens, as well.

I feel like the DD Marshal or the WS Shield is where you should be looking, with this description in mind. The warden is a very straight throwing putter, stable but not overstable.

Right, but neither of those are flagship putters.I want to be able to go to the store and buy a glow, Star/TP/ESP equivalent, and pro/soft equivalents.

I throw popular molds so I have plastic options. DD/WS/Lat64 need to figure their crap out because they push out a new mold and suddenly that disc is the new messiah. I only throw staple molds from different companies at this point.

I starting throwing fluid wardens and they only had fluid/fuzion/moonshine available at premium prices and I'm just not interested in that. If they come out with an aviar3 in a pro/base plastic that'll work fine for something that can beat in a little bit

My fear is that next week they release the Miscreant and that's the new flavor of the month and they stop releasing new runs of the shield/marshal. I know that's a risk you run with every company but I throw PDs teebirds PD2s buzzz and zones primarily. those are all money makers and probably aren't going to be obsolete any time soon.

I'm hoping the aviar3 will have some sticking power

I can't think of another true putter that is more popular for Westside than tje Shield. A lot of the trilogy pros bag them and they are pretty widely available in multiple lines of plastic.

Honestly, I've been getting more and more salty about this over the years. They wouldn't release the giant in moonshine which drove me nuts. They didn't release the river in moonshine for ages. They did the same thing with the warden, there was really only one run of fluid that made it to surface. I'm working on finding a world replacement for the time being. I'm going to stick with popular stable molds, I'm not interested in throwing the sheriff/cataupult/balista/freedom/defender of the month.

It's also a lot easier to get innova/prodigy from vendors in my area so that contributes as well.

Maybe this is an over-reaction but aviars have been around for ages and I'm pretty sure I won't have any problem finding aviar3s in the future.

I hear ya, and I don't think you're overreacting. I still don't understand why the Warden has not come out in production Lucid or Fuzion like the Judge has. It's not like Wardens sit on the shelves for months in the stores.

Oh well, I just ordered a second Aviar3, so I should have them for a long time to come...

I would bag a Moonshine Giant and a Lucid Warden, TODAY.......

Hoping this is the year.

They were handing out Lucid Wardens in the player's pack at our local C-tier today.

Yep, this is how I came into possession of a Lucid Warden. Found a nicely worn-in Tournament stamped disc in the used bin (for $9!) at the local DG shop...

So to whom do we begin a letter writing campaign to get some Warden plastic love?

Seriously! Let me know if you need a Fluid Warden advocate to co-sign. ;)

There was also a batch of moonshine that popped up on infinate a couple of weeks ago. Tournie stamped. I prefer my putters in base plastic, but I was tempted.

Wish I'd seen those in time. I will replace my Fluid Warden with Moonshine or Lucid in a heartbeat.

Update: I got impatient, so I paid the extra green dollar bills and ordered a McCabe-stamp Fuzion Warden from DGC last week. It got here today, so I put it in the bag for my round.

On the first hole, my flippy Star Tern flipped over, and ended up nearly 150 ft. right of the basket, and it was an uphill shot. So the Fuzion Warden got a baptism by fire. It threw great: nice and straight, just a hint of fade at the end, and I overshot the basket(!).

The best shot was a downhill 218-foot hole, fairly open at first but then some guardian trees to navigate through. I threw the Fuzion Warden (fresh out of the box, mind you) on a slight anny angle, and it held that anny all the way down towards the basket, ending about 15 ft. in front of the basket for the tap-in birdie.

So the Fluid Warden gets a vacation until winter, as the very HOT temps in the ATL are not keeping it firm; and I'm going to start using the Fuzion Warden full time. And if a Moonshine Warden comes out, I'll grab one (or two) of those, as well.

I snagged a Lucid a week ago, and it instantly went in my everyday bag. I knew from prior experience that this is going to be a great driving putter. I highly regret selling off the two Lucids that I picked up back in 2014. I already have three Fuzion and two more coming in the mail Thursday, just in time for Am Worlds, but I am going to heavily sift through the FlyMart and snag any Lucid if they are available.

are the lucids firm? or floppy/soft?
i have a very gummy one, it's a misprint so i'm not sure if it's a regular lucid or some gummy version.

Question for you Warden throwers, how understable can a thoroughly beat Zero Warden get? I'd like to get one to a point where I can throw a soft turnover with it but so far doesn't seem like it's happening.

Any differences between Hard/Blend/Soft in how they beat in?
