[Innova] Innova G Star?

So far, the G Star molds i have thrown are, Valk, FB, DS, Boss, Tern
So far it seems pretty consistently less overstable than star or champ counterparts, save for the Valk. I think this might be a short term variance thing.

However, the FB is pretty nice. Its very OS just not quite as OS as my faf stiffer 12x's. Its more like the gummier 12x's that were flat. Still very very overstable.

less overstable than a star tern? I thought Gstar tern was supposed to be in between champ and star.

I have a heavy star thats def more beefy than the G* 175g i threw. I also have a 167g star that is about the same, maybe flippier due to it being more used

I'm torn on GStar. I like the grip, look, small deflections off trees and overall durability, I turned a drive over the other day onto a paved street. It skipped and a slid out. I just imagined the scrapes but none at all, really amazing to see.

I don't like the floppiness and I also got a little wing droop already from one tree hit (warped) on my Tern.

So it's great plastic overall but I like regular Star a bit better. The stiffer but grippy stuff.

I still have been bagging the t bird and leo in Gstar. I like the feel, mainly the leo I have, it is butter. Yellow 170, just straight as a arrow.

I've not loved most of the Gstar molds that I've cycled through the bag. Tried Leo, Tbird, Roc3, and Destroyer. I'd much rather stick with the Champ/Star driver plastics.

I have been throwing a Gstar BB Aviar and it is amazing off the tee and upshots. That one will probably stay in the bag. I feel it throws similar to my KC, but should hold stability and fade for much longer. Like.

I bought a 169 Gstar tern yesterday and it's definitely more stable (much more) than all my star terns.

Maybe it's a fluke.

So this just happened on the Factory Store.

I've come to love the Gator for windy days (as such, I don't carry it in my bag at all times) and I don't use it for skip shots or anything, so the G Star fits the bill. Plus I like the stamp, even if the silhouette is a little lame instead of the full Gator.

I got a Purple and a Blue (and a new hat.) Can't wait to see how they fly!

It's nice to see in the description of these that there is a moderate done to them. If people are like me and prefer flat Gators for better feel on those flick sidearms, then they won't be disappointed about these if they bought them blind. That being said, I feel like the Gator is the perfect disc for GStar plastic. These will probably sell like crazy if they are still overstable.

It's okay. I don't like G Star for sidearm anyway. I'm sure it's different for people who are actually GOOD at forehanding, haha!

They don't seem to be moving too fast yet, so we will see in the long term.

It has a cool stamp.

Alot of the factory store stuff has been getting cool stamps.

I agree, that's a good looking stamp.

I really like the drivers in Gstar, but I'm not sure I like it in mids and putters. Huh.

Is it just me or is the G* plastic getting better with each run of disc?

I got a G* Valk right as they were released, and while I loved the grip the 'floppy' was too much for me. Recently, I picked up a G* Tern and a G* Destroyer and the Destroyer looks & feels like Star, but grippier. The Tern has held up quite nicely to tree hits and such, but I haven't thrown the Destroyer yet (I can't wait to do so.)

I was impresssed by the Prodigy 400 and 400G plastic for my drivers, but as I've removed the supersonic Drivers from my bag for more controllable discs, the G* has become my new favorite plastic.

Anyone else falling for G* ?

I really like the G Star Roc3. I also bag a G Star Teebird, but I'm not as anamored with it. I have a G Star big bead Aviar that is cool I guess, but it didnt make the bag. My JKs do everything it does but better
Can't wait to test out the G Star Gator, though.

I love my G-Star:
TeeBird
Dart (I recently lost it though  )

I'm meh on my G-Star:
Roc3 -the two G-star roc3s I have are a lot flatter and floppier compared to my champ roc3 and McPro Roc3. I love to use beefy stiff Roc3s for overstable shots and hyzer lines. The G-star roc3 seem to be less stable. I ended up replacing them in my bag with Discraft Comets.

I should have mentioned that I'm only bagging G* drivers. The rest of my bag is pretty set and I'm also a big fan of Prodigy 400. All my Fairways and Mids are 400 plastic.

IMO, Mids and Fairways need to be more stiff and reliable/predictable. Even the DX Roc3s fair better than the G* imo
