The 2014 Memorial Championship

Wiggins and Lizotte are paired together at 2:34. Hopefully one of the video guys will follow that card. Fun to watch them bomb it out. To bad GG isn't in that group too.
 
According to PDGA twitter/facebook, live scoring and twitter play-by-play for the Women's lead card goes up at 10:40 local time (so 12:40 EST). Men's lead card presumably will get the same treatment later in the day.

They've definitely operated on a shoestring budget...but just to clarify your post for those that may mistake your meaning - John and Terry are far from novice at broadcasting. They've been doing it for decades.

The internet bandwidth is an issue. I saw at USDGC the quality they pump directly out of the production truck and it's crisp by MY standards. The trouble is the bandwidth-to-end-user area.

Clarification aside I totally agree with you, they need a significant capital boost. The amount of money they've already spent just to get where they are would floor most people, and they're doing it about as cheap and efficient as they can already.

This was posted on another forum by one of the guys i know playing pro masters

The new baskets are great for catching hard shots. They are nice and deep and the multiple chains would likely prevent any cut throughs for hyzer putters. The extra chains also make for a better choice of aiming points as we'll. Unfortunately, the extra chains make it worse for soft putters, I found my softer putts would not stick in and were pushed out especially if hitting the chains high. The nubs were also quite sharp, and some players were complaining that their putters were getting gouged. The nubs should have been filed down to smooth them out after the manufacturing process. Overall, it is still a great basket.

As much as Cat is getting kicked around by the course, so are Val and Liz. Paige, meanwhile, seems to be playing a different course than the rest of them. This is two years in a row she's absolutely shredded these courses.

To clairfy. The trouble is actually bandwidth to the ingestion point, not to the end user. DGP.tv's issues are 100% venue dependent and can only be fixed with (even more) major capital.

Considering the venues they are trying to broadcast from, renting a satellite truck is probably the most realistic solution. Unfortunately that increases the budget by ~10k per day.

Not to mention the issues of satellite based connectivity and its inherent latency and the havoc that causes when trying to live stream

Jared is a hell of a golfer and a really good guy. i always enjoyed throwing with him and hope he keeps doin the tour thing cuz i think he will end up being a pretty big name. its crazy how quick he became so good at this stuff.
