I like the Pinnacle ghost mold instead of the roc3. Just wish the plastic was a little grippier.

I have sort of noticed a plus feel to my factory store pro roc3's compared to my champ and dx. All the rest are standard. What plastic were yours in? For what it's worth, that is the one disc that I don't mind the plus feel. Still wish I'd bought a stack of dx instead of pro and star roc3's though :/

All the ROC3's are plus molded

I recently picked up 2 roc3s to try out and they were plus mold, not a fan. I recently switched to excel ghosts and I love them. The plastic feels terrible at first but once you work them in they feel great.

False. Roc3's are not plus molded. McBeth has even said that they are not. Its just you looking for a reason to hate the disc.

I used to throw a buzzz, until I threw a ROC. Now I have 3 cycled flat tops, 1 glow ROC3, a 4X glow roc & about 30 flat top backups in the closet.

Im not a fan of Premium plastic Midranges. So I cycle DX Rocs.. That being said Ive tried the entire

series and I wasnt impressed.. Just doesnt have the feel or the glide..

if we are talking current production runs, then Roc3 all the way. If we are talking old Rocs vs Roc3 then old Rocs win out over almost everything.

definitely not plus mold. normal Roc's I have seen lately are though, but not Roc3's.

They may not be the full tilt plus molding angle of the ROC+...but just flip one upside down and see for yourself. It's a slightly slanted rim.

McBeth is marketer-in-chief for Innova --it's why he throws a nova when he's up 14 strokes-- you can't take everything he says as unbiased gospel. Especially when he has a stake in the sales of that disc. Innova sales on the roc+ were dismal so I can see why they want to avoid that stigma on their hot Roc3.

Why would Paul McBeth have to come out and say they aren't plus molded (which could be true if it's somewhere in-between + and normal) If the rim didn't look and feel that way to players?

I respect the hell out of Paul but not over my own two hands and eyes. Currently holding a CFR, a big bird, and a glow. The rims are slanted. Sorry.

Maybe I just am making this up but I thought I read that all molds are slightly tilted because it is easier to remove the discs.

Hmm let me flip any disc upside down and see if they have a slant to them. Wait they do. All my discs must be plus molded then.

McBeth throws the Nova because he likes it. He loves the P2 and the Nova has the same deep feel of the P2 but has a more neutral flight so it makes sense for him to throw it. Oh and he was throwing it during his Course Record Round at the USDGC.

You realize that if they were plus molded then no one would buy them and throw them, kinda like how no one buys or throws any other plus mold disc.

what's the difference?

I have a big bird roc 3 that I hate. How is the we run different?

Every disc has some rim slant. The Roc3 to me is not plus molded at all. I've got a Plus Roc and the slant is totally different from the Roc3.

Are the Roc3 and Rancho Roc even the same disc? What are the main differences between them?

Not all discs slant the same degree. Outside plus molds, I challenge you to find an Innova mold that has a rim as slanted as the Roc3.

The Roc3's are slanted somewhere in between the plus mold and the rancho (close to 90). The difference is notable. Ghosts line up much more closely on rim slant.

Don't take my word for it. Dot the edge of the bead and directly behind it where the rim meets the flight plate. Line those two dots up at eye level like a gun sight. Whatever angle you have to hold the disc at to make these points line up is the rim slant.

Sounds like your just a Legacy Fan Boy trying to hype up the Legacy Roc

I just measured my various Rocs. On a scale of slant 1-10 with 10 the most-

Plus Roc-10
New Champ Roc3-4.0
New DX Rancho-3.5
Newer KC 12x-3.0
Beat KC 11X-1.5

I saw just the smallest difference between the Roc3 and Rancho. Yes there is a difference but its like 1 degree, nowhere near Plus Roc and very Close to New DX Rancho or KC 12x.

Roc3 is not plus mold. You're wrong, Horsman is right.

The roc3's definitely have a slanted rim, but it's not like the + molds that are marketed as + molds , they dont seem to slip out early like those do. (expirience: friends TL+ and a champion roc+)

Sounds like you go ad hominem when you have nothing to argue. Get out of my head and out of my bag. Thats the only legacy disc I throw. knew it was coming anyway though.

Your last post was mischaracterizing my points and taking them to absurd extremes "guess all my discs are plus molds" and if they were plus molds no one would throw them and people throw them so they can't be plus molds. Logic is not your strong point.

Sorry scary panda-eye man. I see you stomp over these forums all the time. But you didn't get me.

I knew I was next. My bad, I like ONE disc for a concrete, measurable difference from another. I could see how that makes me a total fanboy.
