There is so much talk about the differenct runs of the PDs could you give me a brief run down of the different runs of the PD2 like which runs were most stable and which ones could actually be thrown for distance shots.

C-PD2s -
These and the P line were the OG for this mold. Dumb beefy until beat in and then they are just very overstable. These were discontinued when the S-PD2 released but they are back and still dumb beefy.

S-PD2s -
These were the last PD2 plastic to come out. They are even more overstable than the C-line but beat in a little faster.

P-PD2 -
These were out with the original C-line and they start out slightly less overstable than the C-line. They beat in pretty quick and achieve main distance driver status in a reasonable amount of time.

In summary: stability S-line -> C-line -> P-line and most big arms I see bagging these are throwing multiples of the c-line. Usually a slightly beat one (just to get the edge off the HSS) and a very beat one that is a little bit workable

It seems as though Discmania's flight rating numbers sometimes are slightly altered from actual flight characteristics because it would overlap an Innova product. Are there any regulations Innova puts on your flight ratings?

Thanks for the questions guys!

When are s-line fd2's looking to be out?

I do not have an answer for you at this time. I will have to seek out more information.

There is so much talk about the differenct runs of the PDs could you give me a brief run down of the different runs of the PD2 like which runs were most stable and which ones could actually be thrown for distance shots.

The runs of the PD2 are as follows:

for the C-LINE: The super flat and hard plastic first runs are the most overstable. The current run Jolly Launcher's are the second most overstable. The second runs are the most workable for distance shots, they are more like a very overstable destroyer. The second runs look very close to the first run except it has a higher dome and is not flat, and the plastic feels much softer.

For the S-LINE: They are all pretty close to the same stability which is less than or equal to the 2nd run C-LINES. for the S-LINES, they all for the most part appear to have the same shape, the biggest difference is that if you pick a softer feeling S-LINE PD2 it will be less overstable and firmer feeling S-LINE PD2 will be more overstable.

For the P-LINE: This version of the PD2 has the most glide of all of the plastic types. If you are truly looking for distance shots this is the one you should be trying out.

Listed from most overstable to Understable:

1st Run C-LINE > Jolly Launcher C-LINE > 2nd Run C-LINE > S-LINE > P-LINE

Which discs are you talking about that don't match the actual flight characteristics?

Innova does not put any regulations on our products. We do not overlap with them because our discs are unique discs and are not copies. Good question!

What other questions do you guys have??

Do the D P2's all feel pretty similar, or are there differences between colors, runs, etc?

^^ idk if this is the place you'll get an answer on that one, but who knows?

I've always found DM flight ratings to be on the mark (except for the 2nd run FD)

Thanks for the answer. Sometimes I tend to consider the P2 to be slightly more overstable than the 2,3,0,1. Obviously, that would overlap with a BB Aviar. I think your products are unique and deserve their own flight ratings. I respect that you strive to be progressive and not just blatantly produce clones of discs that are popular for other companies.

when are the DM shirts/sweatshirts going live?

in the head wear pictures, you have models that aren't available on the site, are there plans to release more hats/styles?

I would have to disagree with the C-PD2 stabilities a bit. I have a FR C-PD2 which is a monster, but a 2013 run C-PD2 with microbubbles in the rim and a pop top is a devourer of worlds. I am talking about FAF Firebird stable but with added speed stability. Nigh unthrowable, for any useful line. Cannot imagine a wind where the FR would not suffice.

This could if course be a matter of individual discs, but every tale I've heard of the new run pop tops is they're crazy overstable and fade hard right out of hand. Even for power throwers.

The 1st run D-LINE P2's are very soft and grippy. the 2nd run are more firm, but very grippy still. Those are really the ones we have noticed a big difference in. We tested out the 2nd Run in light weights (150 class) last week and they are very overstable, they had the same flight as the 175g counterparts.

Other than that, we haven't noted a difference in feel in plastics. The new plastic is soft and has a good amount of grip with a firm feel to it.

Do you have or know of anyone that has any proto star banshees?

Sorry mate, I only have Discmania products ;)

Often different plastics have different overstabilty as you all may know. for example I notice the D-LINE P2 is not as overstable as the S-LINE P2. but, if thrown flat, the disc will fade, but not too hard. Thank you for recognizing our progress!

We do not have a set date for shirts/sweatshirts so, I don't want to give you false information. When they are ready we will get them up for sale!

There will be more hat styles in the future. Good eye!

How does the new G-line P2 compare to the S-line P2 for a driving putter?

The G-LINE P2 is a touch less overstable than the S-LINE. We only saw a slight difference in full power drives with it. otherwise it follows the S-LINE's flight path very closely.

I would have to disagree with the C-PD2 stabilities a bit. I have a FR C-PD2 which is a monster, but a 2013 run C-PD2 with microbubbles in the rim and a pop top is a devourer of worlds. Are you talking about the flat as a table First Run C-LINE PD2's? we did note that the darker (Red and Purple) color C-LINE PD2's are the most overstable of the new "2013 Jolly Launcher/Micro Bubble" run.

Either way, they are both seriously overstable just as the disc is supposed to be! :)

What's in the official Discmania rep's bag?

My bag consists of the following:

2x 175 D-LINE P2's for putting
2x 175 G-LINE P2 for driving and approaching.
4x 180 Glow MD3's for all midrange shots
1x 175 Lizotte Jolly Launcher FD (3rd Run Jolly Launcher)
2x 175 C-LINE FD2
2x 175 C-LINE DD2
1x 175 Echo S-LINE DD2
1x 171 C-LINE PD2 (Jolly Launcher)
2x 175 C-LINE PD2 (Jolly Launcher)

I have the C-LINE and S-LINE DD in there for testing at the moment as well.

Thanks for sharing what's in your bag.

Any chance there will be lighter first run G* FDs or lighter first run C-line FD2s added to the store inventory in the near future? I like fairways under 170g but I am so excited to try these new ones I will buy heavier if I have no other choice.

What, you dont bag any PDs?? For shame! :D Thats a big jump from FD2 to PD2 and DD2... but I have seen weirder combos work. Its about how you use what you have.

If I could throw an FD as far as he can, I would consider that jump too!

Is there a difference in flight characteristics, feel, or shape between the regular run C MD3s and the European Open glow C MD3s? Thanks for all the great info; it makes such a huge difference to have a place to ask these questions and get good info.
