Discraft needs to step their game back up'

If only there were some sort of club or team even, where people voluntarily only threw Discraft discs, in exchange for a small discount on purchases from the store...

What a wonderful world that would be.

Could you also throw DGA discs? If so, it could be called something like "Duology Crew" or something. AWESOME.

You guys all defending DC remember the day that Cam Todd was sponsored and picked up by Salient's Pro Team?

...yeah I was trolling sooo hard in this thread and way off my rocker HUH!?

You should do some research on the Cam Todd challenger... and why its one of very FEW collectable/desirable DC discs with a healthy resale market and isn't a buzzz.

Cute pink shades!

With all due respect to Cam, whom I consider a friend, he hasn't been consistently competitive in Open on the national scene for nearly a decade (heck, he hasn't even been consistently present at NTs and Majors going back to 2005), and he hasn't been doing the promoter or TD thing like Mark Ellis, Scott Papa, Ron Russell, or even Scott Stokely.

Fact of the matter is that Cam hasn't been, and never was, "the face of Discraft," and with Nate and MJ around there was zero chance he was going to become "the face" going forward, so I doubt that Jim Kenner is going to be losing any sleep over Cam's departure.

Form my experience playing with my bro who is formerly a Discraft sponsored player that left for other opportunities, DC just seems to not support their players adequately. I'm sure they do have the ability to do more for their players but don't seem to do half as much as other manufacturers. I mean have you seen Paul's car?

the blind masses response to that is "pros don't sell discs" :|

maybe they don't directly but I imagine Paul has made Innova a couple bucks like you touch on.

I have to believe the faction of disc collecting and selling disc golfers represent a miniscual percentage of disc buyers.

One of my favorite players.....years ago. I think the switch says a lot more to say about Salient than Discraft. Nothing but best wishes to both though.

It might but he was very ignorant to say "who gives a" about either the company or Cam.

Obviously some people do.

That's not the blind masses response. That's simply the butt ugly reality of things in regards to established disc companies.

I'm sure whatever couple bucks Innova made would have been made anyways if they weren't sponsoring him, without Innova having to make the expense of doing so.

So Discraft should throw money at Pros, just because other companies do?

Why isn't MVP giving money and more support to their Pro?

They could definitely do more.

I mean if that's the secret to a disc company being successful...
