This bugs me, so I'll try to explain. There is a 10% discount on stock stamped trilogy discs. There are additional discounts on Team stamped discs (they are more than 10%). The combination of different discount levels can enable savings over 10% on a purchase. In regards to publicly stating all discounts, it was decided that if people wanted to join to be a part of the team, they would. Discounts are a plus for joining, not a reason for joining (well, they are a reason, just one that isn't encouraged).
As for praying to the Trilogy Gods, not saying negative things etc. Team Trilogy members are allowed to not like discs, and say they don't like discs. What they are asked not to do is bash other companies (note the word other). From the form that has been misquoted several times:
"This also means no bad-mouthing other companies. We can lift up the Trilogy brands without taking shots at others."
I guess it is assumed you'll be a fan of the three companies if you decide to join, the goal of that statement is to avoid flame wars with other brands. It's a respect thing, all the companies are attempting to grow the sport we love, so members are asked not to bash publically (feel free to make contact with them). It comes down to the way you say something. I can say, "I don't care for the witness, it didn't work for me." Which sounds a lot better than, "The witness was s useless piece of junk, DD really screwed up making that disc." The first is my subjective opinion, the second is a failed attempt at objective fact because there are people who will like the witness. It just doesn't fit my game. Similarly, some people will fit in Team Trilogy, and some won't. If you throw all Lat/WS/DD and like to support those companies, it will probably be a great place for you. If you don't, or have no interest in it, it won't be.

I think it is great that everyone has choices. I am confused as to why anybody, not actually sponsored by trilogy, would have a trilogy only bag? Don't get me wrong, I have and throw a couple of their discs, but blind brand loyalty is very confusing to me. I carry a few discraft out of loyalty, but only because in my area, Discraft has done a lot for me. As a partriarch of local disc golf and personally.

Think of it this way. What if I said, "Hey! Everyone who already is throwing only westside/lat64/DD in a tourney, do you want a sweet discount and some custom stamped discs?" Response from everyone who was already doing that "Yes please".
End of discussion.
Also, to anyone looking for information, ask Dusty. The majority of the people posting in here are people who aren't affiliated, and are clearly opposed. It's worth reading the opposition's comments to get a fair perspective, but if you are looking to be "sponsored" or switching over for a huge incentive, you should reconsider.
Everyone assumes this ignorant blind following leading people to join team trilogy rather than some people just like the plastic and throw their plastic and dd/west/lat decided to do something cool for them.
Is it cult-ish to only like Chicago sports teams? People need to calm down. Let people do their thing. How many of you have been personally injured by someone joining TT?
It's called personal preference. I only buy Honda vehicles, I only buy Maytag appliances, I only buy Levi's jeans, I only buy Haynes underwear, just like I only buy disc golf discs that are made by Latitude 64. It's my choice and it's because I like them.

You're basically asking me to not do what so many in this thread are doing to me. Look objectively and not use comedy when I want.
I've been called elitist, a dick, and a few others without firing back at those people. I am posting the same response over and over because you and others keep saying and asking the same questions over and over. So why would you expect the answers to change if the responses I get remain the same and people can't come to terms with my responses after the first time?
Like I said you're free to start your own team and make up the reasons for it and the stipulations for membership. Just because you think a team for trilogy throwers should invite all people regardless of what they throw and take advantage of discounts does not make it a reason to be true. That would be silly. Does any manufacturer do that? Does innova provide discounts on their discs to people who throw a mixed bag but belong to a fan run group called team innova? Maybe they would you should ask them. All I know is that you don't agree with it and that's fine but that doesn't make it elitist or wrong or stupid in anyway. I don't care what your thoughts are about it I didn't solicit your opinion. You brought it to me and I responded. You're not happy with my response and now you're telling me how I should respond.
I like comedy. Most of it has been little jabs at myself and the notions you all hold about it being a cult. Like a voodoo doll and blood sacrifices. That's not personal attacks and if you don't care for it I'll tell you the same thing I said before. Close the thread or put me on ignore. Or simply stop quoting me and replying to me. I just recently joined Team Trilogy, but I have been throwing only "trilogy" for 3 and a half years. I was all Latitude 64 ever since the Havoc and Pain came out and kicked the Nuke and Drone out of my bag. This year I have started to add some Dynamic and Westside to my bag. I have thrown Latitude since before Gold Line came out when I was throwing Opto Strikers, Visions, and Cores along with Grip Pures. I like their plastic more than any other company's plastic and their discs fit my game. This is why I decided to throw only Trilogy (only Latitude at the time).
What I don't understand is that people think it is a sacrifice to throw only trilogy discs. I guess the people who think of it as a sacrifice must think the trilogy discs are inferior and your game will suffer because of it. I made a choice to go all Latitude because it helped my game. I love the discs and it helped me focus on one brand of discs instead of trying the multitude of discs that come out.

Sir...with all due respect. You're saying what I'm doing is blind but you carry discs only because of what Discraft has done for your area. Well guess what...I also carry Dynamic Discs because they are local to me, have done a lot for me personally and the game, AND because I enjoy them. I like the molds. I like the plastic options. I like the availability of going five minutes from my house and having thousands of discs to hold, inspect, and purchase.
They have helped me by sponsoring food drive tournaments, they have helped me start the process of building a course for a kid's camp that will help keep that place open and pay their bills at no cost to them but only cost to me and DD in both money and our many hours of labor. They have brought business and tournaments and block parties and fun to my hometown. They have given people I know jobs and do it with a smile and good customer service. Why is it not ok that I give back to them by shopping at their store and posting reviews on my own free will and time to this forum so that some people can decide if it's right for them or not? I fail to see what you do and I do as different. Please explain that to me.

I wonder when the first person will be kicked off the 'Team' for throwing Innova plastic that has the stamped wiped or a Trilogy hotstamp/dye on it? Will said person be burned at the stake? Ex-communicated? Worse?
He just meant he doesnt limit himself only to discraft. For some people its hard tobunderstand the concept of self limitation. People enjoy mixed bags just like people enjoy branded bags.

I don't limit myself either. I said it earlier I still try new releases from every manufacturer I can. If the day comes when I feel the need to have one of those in my bag I'll put it in there and if I want to use it in tournaments I'll contact Dustin and say hey man I'm leaving team trilogy I got a so and so in my bag now and I just wanted to let you know. Keep on doing what you do. See you at the GBO! and then we'll continue on with our lives like people do.
I simply haven't found a disc I like that would warrant that change for me. Outside of Legacy I haven't found another company with the plastic blends I like and there isn't a mold made by legacy that I enjoy so much I want to bag it over what I do carry now.
I understand people who like having a mixed bag but that's what works for them and this is what works for me. I don't make threads asking them to justify their decisions and I don't know why that is expected out of people who carry only trilogy discs. We live in a place that offers choices and we all make them for our own reasons. I don't need people to agree with it but they should respect my right to choose just like I respect their right to do the same.
