Favorite female player?

Paige Bjerkaas impressed me a lot this year. If I had to choose one it would be Val, the Rebecca Cox. I can't watch Sarah Hokom, my body hurts everywhere just by watching her throw..

Jessica Weese.
Don't know why, it just looks like she works on her technique.

I don't see some of the throwing quirks that I see in others.
Her form is not perfect, but it looks like she works on it.

I've been working on my throw lately, and getting my form right, so I tend to pay attention to that part of the visual.
Her throw bothers me less than others, but I can't say exactly why...

Jessica Weese has a great forehand. There is a video of her showing how she throws forehand (maybe in an ITB video, maybe with Nikko), and it helped me tremendously with my forehand. I commend Jessica Weese's forehand form to anyone trying to learn and improve theirs.

Just curious, what was the context?

Easier than Golf, easier as a sport to play, or was it a bragging comment?

Easy as a profession. The jist was that you could be great at it in a very short period of time.

Then you see people like Weese, Bjerkaas, and everyone from Finland eclipsing her.

Just seems to add up to a lack of respect for the sport.

Paige Pierce says everything is easy too, and people still love her.

(An exaggeration, but her comments have bothered me. She said, in a pre-tourney interview, that getting par at USDGC was easy. Ok, so do it. Don't tell us it's easy then proceed to come in 107th place, throwing a +43 for the tourney.)

Maybe she's been watching Sexton a lot.

I don't know how she managed her +43, but she did say it would be very difficult for her to stick to a par gameplan.

Mine has to be Elaine King. Mainly due to having met her when we were installing Riverbend Park in Louisburg, NC and witnessing her absolutely destroy miles of vines and briars. Any World Champ willing to come out and work as hard as she did is tops in my book.

...which also leads me to Holly Findlay. I don't know why she gets some of the crap she does, but she's always repped the game quite well, and props to any big name player who publicly posts on these forums.

I think you answered your own question. IMHO I think she gets crap for referring to herself as the "Duchess of Disc Golf" among other things she's done here like this little gem of a post. A lot of people (not that I am one of those people) find giving yourself a nickname especially one like that is cheezy and a reason to hate.

Paige Bjerkaas has my vote. Her play on the course has come a long way. But my fandom of PB started a year or so ago, when I was ordering light-weight discs out of the DD warehouse because my kids had started playing. She would correspond with emails, and answer all my stupid questions, while giving recommendations as she was coming out of her own "juniors" experiences. She would even occasionally write an encouraging note to my kids on the invoice.

She's a great player and a great ambassador for the sport. More importantly, she just seems like she has such a good heart and really enjoys what she's doing.

I don't see the issue with the post you linked. What am I missing?

Hailey King...that girl can straight up drill a fly line. She has obviously hit the ground running and has already begun to shake things up.

Also, another vote for Rebecca Cox. She tees off like she is pi$$ed off...I love it!

I watched that same video, and thought it was a shame to hide it at the end of her ITB video. I'm not big on ITB videos, but I saved that one to my DG playlist just for the forehand instruction at the end. Good call.

For me Catrina Allen is the most fun fpo to watch. I think it's her emotional roller coaster on public display that intrigues me the most. man...when she is in a good mood, smiling, having a good time, and playing her heart out...wow...there is easily no better fpo player to watch. But then...the roller coaster starts...which this player can relate to... she misses a 5-10ft putt, etc, you just want to reach in the screen and scream.."slow down and make the fking putt!!!". lol.. To me she has the raw skills to be the best fpo player out there...by far...when she dials everything in. I also enjoy watching Paige B, but she becomes a bit robotic at times and her aggressive "highlight reel mentality" gets a bit old to be honest. I like watching Paige B as well, but I don't think she can really hang with Paige P or Catrina A, when both of those players are dialed in.

I honestly don't have a clear cut favorite so I'm gonna say what I enjoy about watching all of them:

Paige Pierce: P4P she crushes. Her commitment to her craft is exceptional.
Catrina Allen: Roller game is rare in FPO.
Paige Bjerkaas: Infectiously positive attitude, very reminiscent of Val in that regard.
Sarah Hokom: Forehand goddess and related woods course mastery.
Rebecca Cox: A "gopher." Never plays meekly.
Jessica Weese: Dual threat backhand and forehand.
Lisa Fajkus: Consistent putter, a bit rare in FPO.
Elaine King: NC legend, enjoying her MVP bag being on display.
Kristin Tattar: Crushes and the total package.
Holly Finley: Beautiful turnovers with understable and/or light discs.
Madison Walker: Solid game; huge sunglasses.
Vanessa Van Dyken: Another green machine.
Zoe Andyke: Methodical pre-throw routine
Jennifer Allen: Crushes with manly discs.
Kona Panis: Consistency away from being very complete player.
Valerie Jenkins/Doss: Caddy drama

Going back a bit, Sheila Kirkham is a Thrower, but more so has the Mental game down, better than most. She is the Only Pro that ever reached out to me, through forums, and offered advice. I was SO STOKED to see her still throwing, this last weekend, at the Phoenix Ladies Open. Another, I Aways love seeing, is Liz Carr. Liz, and Scott Papa, basically taught me how to throw through Youtube.
