Home Course

It may not be much, but its home!

East Bay Park Georgetown, SC (just to the south of Myrtle Beach)

Hopefully I'll be able to add to this list in the near future!

My home course is Bryant Lake Park, however, it is closed during the winter (why? I don't know.) I have several other courses to choose from while that is closed though.

Alex Clark Memorial in McKinney TX, is where I started playing and still play at least once a week, wed night mini.
Towne Lake in McKinney TX, is the new course a mile away with the same "local" crew as the Alex Clark.
Lewisville Lake park in Lewisville is 10 minutes from my work. I play it a few times a month and when the weather is nice I go putt durring my lunch break. (about to go and play right now, work is now over)
I play with a Thursday night group (OMB vs. YGB) that rotates between Jimmy Porter and Greenbelt in Carrollton and Lake park if it has been raining bad. I also represented Carrollton @ TX Teams last year.

So... I'm currently a Local at 3 cities and 5 courses.

Home cookin

Buckhorn - New Hill, NC

UNC - Chapel Hill, NC

Cedarock / Wellspring - Burlington, NC

I started out playing Buckhorn exclusively, but UNC and Cedarock are too good to ignore. I play them all frequently.
With those four home courses, playing on the road looks like a recipe for disappointment...

my 2 "home" course, both about 30-40mls away are lafrinere park in meteri,la and wildcat trace in poplarville,MS usually at lafrinere cause noone ever seems to be at wildcat i've played wildcat about 10 times and have only ever seen one other person on it

while in orlando FL, It was the extinct UCF course or Barnett Park once UCF was out of condition, once I moved back to Va it became Dorey, then I designed my own so now it's White bank park even though I have to drive two hours to get to it and spend more time working on the upkeep then I even get to play it anymore. To pick a dc metro local as thats where I am now I'll go with Darnestown.

Carey Park, Hutchinson, KS. Nothing spectacular, but its all we have. Parks departments keeps it decent, but we've lost so many trees since I started playing that its too darned open.

Thankfully, within an hour's drive there are more challenging courses when I need a change of scenery.

Aha

then I designed my own so now it's White bank park even though I have to drive two hours to get to it and spend more time working on the upkeep then I even get to play it anymore.
So that's where "gottafixit" comes from ?

Ive never had the pleasure of living close to a really nice course.

7/05 til 5/08 - abendschein park, oak creek, WI - An easy, but fairly well rounded 18 hole. It's where i got my start so i will always love it, even after they doze it to put in volleyball courts and more baseball fields that nobody will ever use.

5/08 til present - Fox river park, Silver lake, WI - A very short 9 hole, basically my practice facility in between trips to real courses.

Hoping to move back to milwaukee soon, then itll be Brown deer or dretzka

giles, where u playing tonight?

sorry, I litteraly left right after typing that... I played Lake park. World Champ Avery Jenkins is in town for the VPO. He is touring with a guy(Justin) that stayed at my house when DD came to McKinney this year. I played the front 9 with them then Avery stopped to make some calls and Justin Atwater-Taylor and I finished.
So I've now Played a mixed doubles round against/with Liz Lopez and Eric McCabe and half a casual round with Avery Jenkins at Lake Park

Chautauqua Park in Fairfield, Iowa
Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa
Alimagnet in Apple Valley, MN
Red Oak in Burnsville, MN

Red Arrow Park in Oshkosh, WI. Not a very good course but some fun technical shots and the fact that its only about 10 minutes away make it a pretty good time.

What up Jeff State....man i miss that area! Say hi to Nick J if you see him paraskiing up shasta for me.

Mid '90's- lums pond in DE with a lid

Early 2000's - timberpark in estacada,OR...got my first golf discs there...chose it over milo cause of the entry fee...pre milo redesign

Last 5 years- equal distance between Patapsco and Rockburn in MD...Patapsco is my all time fave.
