So it's been out a year and I keep finding more and more GStar discs enter my bag. I keep trying to dog it but I like it, especially in cold weather. So overall, which is better?

I like both. Gstar to me is mOre accurate to the numbers. I carry a new gstar destroyer that shows turn right out of the box. I pair it with a brand new star destroyer that is beef. By the time the star beats in to the sweet spot, the gstar will be a tailwind only driver.

I'd like to see this poll after we've gone through summer and everyones gstar has gone to butter

I have some of both but OG Star seems much more durable.

I have never liked GStar. Originally it was the feel that threw me off, but after using a GStar PD for a couple months I'm turned off even more. I just don't like how it wears.

Star is where it is at for me.

I picked both, but if I had to narrow it down to only one choice, it would be Star.

As New013 said, not sure what the G* is going to feel like in the summer. But when it's below 40 dgrs, G* is the cats a$$!

I like and carry both. I have tended to buy more GStar/G-Line recently, though. I agree with the sentiment that a fresh Gstar will fly closer to the ratings out of the box...just in my experience. I had worried a bit about GStar getting too soft in the summertime but I never really found that to be an issue last summer in the Texas heat.

That's what was said last spring about last summer. :\

I added the bold because I know how much you like it when I do that. :D :p

I threw mine all last summer in 90+ degrees and had zero problems. As did every guy I throw with. You are once again wrong in your assumptions.

G* is floppy, non-durable crap. Give me older Star plastic any day of the week.

Depends on the disc really, not all are really floppy. I've picked out some stiffer TL's and Terns. Some flex but not too much and more grip, especially in cold weather.

g-star in cold weather is great.

regular star during the main part of the season is where its at. just the right amount of stiffness/flex/tackieness.

I like bagging both. Duplicates of the same mold in different plastics are a wonderful thing. Star plastic seems to be among Innova's most stable blends while G*blends can be straight to flippy right out of the box. These plastics act differently when landing as well. My G* discs have the tendency to stick where they land while Star plastic can generate huge rolls or skips that may be useful as well. Right now I carry Destroyers, Teebirds, Firebirds, and Sharks in both blends...

I voted g star. It is much better in the cold for me than regular star. I also don't like the inconsistency with regular star. Some blends are nice but sometimes it comes out hard, stiff, and slick.

I find I've been going back to regular star.

I'm getting to this point with my Wraiths. I've had a G* Wraith in my bag ever since that plastic came out but now I just keep two regular Stars. I do have G* Firebird that I pair with my super OS Glo-Champion. Really been enjoying that one.

I voted for both BTW.

mine was fine last summer

I slightly prefer g star right now but it's not set in stone

I seem to prefer Gstar lately. At least with the Terns I've been throwing. I get a nicer grip/release on the Gstar and am able to hit my lines easier with good power.

I doesn't get too hot hear, so that isn't a big issue for me, but grip is.

They both have their benefits. But what's nice is that they compliment each other very well. I love the grip of the Gstar in the rain, and its such a nice out of the box flier. At the same time I could never replace my Star Destroyers completely with Gstar...I would be sorely lacking in the stability and durability category of discs.

In my limited experience, I've found G* to be overall straighter when compared to star plastic. That is: G* has less turn, and less fade (IMO). I'll use that to my advantage!
