[Discraft] Official Discraft ZONE Thread

I have a bright pink ESP Zone (and an identical backup) that is my only "won't play DG without it" disc. I use it for both FH and BH approach shots, for putting into ridiculous headwinds, and overhand get-out-of-trouble shots, and generally when nothing else makes sense.

So much so that guys I play with will often remark about "that damn pink disc" of mine.

The stiff pink/purples are my favorites as well. I've accumulated a nice backup stack of those.

I've got a purple concave topped ESP that is noticeably more OS than my others. I like it very much.

I picked up a used Blue ESP Zone at disc life for 9 bucks! After leaving my pink one on a course just chillin.... Didn't skip a beat! Forever having a Zone in my bag from now on. Probably gonna buy a cool dyed one.

For me, the gap between Zone and FB is too big. I used Gator FB for a long time, but now it's Zone - Q-Sentinel - FB.

I have a Zone, domey Star FB, and FAF FB. The Zone and FAF don't have a huge gap in distance cause the FAF is so freakin overstable.

My sig is old. I didn't click with the Drone, especially once I found that I could lean on a Zone or back off a FB and achieve the same result.

Zones are awesome though. And they can definitely be thrown hard and long. I just prefer something in between. So do you it seems - a FAF FB.

This thread is haunting my DG destiny.

In my round this morning, I had 9 forehand approaches in 17 holes. I used my Zone for 6 of them, and made the putt each time I used it. I used my Volt for the other 3 and made those putts too. Normally don't have that number of forehand approaches, but I really like having this shot, and the Zone works great for it.

I find myself going to zone FH approaches more and more

it's very dependable

Bahaha. I like to keep mine updated any time I make a change. Everyone else should do the same. I judge you all by what discs you throw. Zones are awesome!

Yes...ZONES! I just made a bet I can beat a local guy with just a LE Zone and a LE Magnet. Hmmm.

Anyone throw one of the new Ti Zones?
Wondering how flat they came out and how they compare to Cyrztal FLX and ESP zones.

I throw all 3... Crystal FLX >>> New Ti >>> ESP for HSS
Reverse order for LSS, Glide/Dome Distance, Durability in my experience.
Crystal FLX is almost concave top, sticks with little skip and feels indestructible, ESP and Ti have tiny tiny bump in flightnplate, skip hard and ding up easier, though the Ti has shown little to no flight changes, just slices and gouges.

Haven't thrown the Ti but I've felt a couple up. All 3 of them had a mild dome, which saddens me. Zones should not have anything but a flat to concave top.

How about the Ledgestone Crystal FLX? Are they pretty flat/concave?

Is it the same ol good Crystal FLX?
