As the title says, Do you prefer stiffer or softer plastic with your drivers? I have a few really stiff discs and I've noticed its difficult for me to get a nice grip and it affects my ability to throw them. I like a little bit softer plastics with some flex when it comes to Star/Champ because I can grip it better and really wedge my fingers in the rim.

However, I don't like really soft/flexy drivers.. i.e. not a fan of G Star. I noticed some people prefer stiff plastic on the forum.

So what do you prefer and why? (not talking putters)

I like Star plastic for my drivers. I have an affinity for Innova drivers, but I would try other companies. Just haven't done it since I'm set!

I used to like soft plastics. I've noticed that I'm gravitating to stiff... Potentially because I've added a FH to my game?

I prefer star plastic too. That's what made me want to start this thread.. I have an extremely stiff Star Teebird that I was super excited about when I got it. I'm less consistent with it and I think it has to do with the stiffness/grip.

I like a little give, a little softness. Actually, one of my favorite driver plastics is DX. MVP needs to start making baseline drivers STAT.

I like all types- I started with almost all champion, but over the past year have really liked trilogy- and even their opto isn't really stiff, the recent elasto sampo still flies well for me.

too stiff is bad and floppy is bad too.. i like mine right in the middle, a good example would be Icon Outlaws, just perfect.

RDG Fossil is my favorite plastic. If I could have a bag full of it I would be happy.

Star/ Gold Line on the stiffer side feels nice too.

Can't stand GStar type plastics. The newer Star that is in the wild isn't for me either. Soft premium plastics are not for me. Strangely I have no issues with soft base plastic approach discs.

Nice! Yea I love my Star Teebird, although it's not what I would call stiff. It has some give but isn't too hard or soft, the porridge is just right :D.

Speaking of nice driver plastics, I have been wondering how the MVP Plasma drivers are flying. I love the feel of my Plasma Ion and I bet it is great in drivers!

Plasma is rght in the sweet spot for me. they have flex but aren't too soft or floppy. The Volt and Amp in Plasma are great and have serious d.

If you like the Ion in plasma you will love the drivers.

My favorite is Star, but lately I've been becoming quite fond of Pro plastic.

G* is too soft, I have a G-PD that I save for the cold weather.

Don't like Champion in general, although Jolly Launcher is ok.

Soft for everything. Not floppy but soft. Now if I could get a Gstar flight plate with a firmer Star rim I would be in heaven.

I prefer Champion/Z for FH drives and ESP/Star for BH. This is the case for high speed drivers.

Stiff, not slick. Star/ESP/Proline fills most of my bag. Mostly, the Z/Champ/SP is all stuff that I can't get in ESP/Star/Proline. Like a Nuke OS. I also throw FLX Drones, but I'd really prefer straight ESP.
