Hall of Fame Classic by MVP Disc Sports-- first NT event presented by MVP!

FPO had a tough time on the final round at Jackson. Limiting the data to PDGA live scoring: no pars (or better) on 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, or 10; only one woman shot par on 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 17, and 18.

The course is designed (and par is set accordingly) to challenge gold level players. Shouldn't be a surprise that players rated <970, regardless of gender, would struggle to shoot par.

Awesome to see MJ win. I feel like no one can root against the guy.

After watching rounds 1 and 2, can anyone "in the know" tell me what discs he's throwing? In my head, I imagine it's "red comet, purple comet, orange comet, then green comet," but I could be mistaken.

I could root against MJ, but I'd feel terrible doing it...ah, who am I kidding, there's no rooting against him. Congrats!

Congrats on the win, MJ :clap::clap::clap::clap:!

One, two, three, throw...Comet beats Roc , I just had to throw that one out there :D ( Just think rock-paper-scissors).

Ooops, I meant to type "birdie (or better)", not "par (or better)". Sigh ...

Now that the ratings are up, the top ladies shot near their ratings; so it seems fair.

However, I suspect that gold level courses like Jackson impose an upper limit on shorter arms. Watching the video of yesterday's round, it looked like some ideal landing areas require a 400' plus drive to get in a decent position for an up shot. Any shorter and there's little chance to get to the green (even if it's within the player's usual distance). But that's another topic ...
