[Question] Replacing my rocs

don't hate me for this but if you can handle a small diameter mid, the gator has all but replaced rocs in my bag except for longer throws. they are glideless turds but for a decent player rotate two dx and two champs for US==>OS duties. you will never go back, trust me on this one.

Yeah, I like the wasp. Just too cheap to buy a champ doc, so I'll never know.

Champ Roc I have thrown is a little domey and more os than the Wasp I have in my bag. Not much more os, but a little. Wasp probably goes a little farther too. If you like the Wasp and flat mids in general, I would say don't bother with champ Roc. It isn't enough difference in flight if you like what you have and don't want to pay two discs cost for one disc.

To OP, what do you like about the Axis and Truth? Mvp/Axiom can definitely handle the understable duties, though the overstable may be harder since the Vector feels so much like a Roc, but Tensor may work for you. I second the recommendation for the Verdict for overstable if you like the Truth. Also, Trilogy has plenty of understable mids to choose from. All of the choices in molds makes it pretty easy to find something you like in both flight and feel. But we need to know more about what you like before we can make more good suggestions.

Verdict/Truth almost knocked out my Rocs.

Truth is just too fast for my taste in mids though.

I'd recommend the Lat 64 Pain, which is a similar but IMO better disc, but hell, Lat 64 just toook tem out of production....

I'd recommend a Z Buzzz, but the Axis and Truth are very similar to it. Z Wasp for OS mid and Meteor or Comet for US mid.

If you like Axis and Truth for straight shots, then I'd go Verdict for OS as the obvious choice. For US I like the Core as it'll be low power (slower than the Truth) and less HSS than the Axis. It's not going to roll or be crazy flippy, but it goes right on a firm flat throw if you have snap. It should be more like a Buzzz SS but I haven't thrown those. Core has a + type rim if that matters to you.

I did this with Drones for a season a couple years ago. Tons of fun!

I don't like them because of the way they feel.. I can throw them quite far but just don't like them for up shots, off the tee they are alright just seeing what else everyone suggests and what all is out there

I would say try some Gateway S-warriors. They cycle nicely and I personally dig the feel in hand. A bit thinner then the rock, and they have a rounded inner rim, which some hate.

Stability goes up from D-line/Pro-line/Sparkle

Assuming the normal trajectory of stability from base to premium plastic, yes, I would say so. Others will have to comment if it holds true but I assume that the stability does go up. I only have the proline (think Star plastic) and need to get the other two.

I've thrown all Aftershock plastics. Probably most Roc-like is new D-line or slightly beat Pro-line. The Sparkle Z's are slower and fairly OS.
