Ahh the infamous putter honeymoon period

Hahaha, that is definitely a possibility. I've been playing long enough to know no disc will fix your problems, but they seem even more comfortable in my hand than the others I've used recently. Going to see how long they last.

Try out season is here, pulling stuff out of my bag and giving others a try. Main switch is one mold to putting and throwing. Played absolutely lights out today. We will see, this line up might just stick around. (Who am I kidding?)

Putters:
4x envy (2 soft, 1 medium, 1 glow)

Mids:
3x comets
1x wasp

Fairways:
1x neutron relay
1x Sirius OLF

Utility:
1x roadrunner
1x predator

Drivers:
2x wraith
1x force

Shot my personal best at a course and snagged my first ace in two years yesterday with the electron envy. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think envies have made the bangers return very, very much in question. Just ordered a new thunderbird, think I want just a little more beef than the OLF's.

putters:
4x envy

mids:
3x comet
1x wasp

fairways:
1x relay
2x olf

util:
1x pred
1xroadrunner

2x wraith
1x force

Putters:
2x d challenger
3x banger (d,ti,esp)
1x zone

1x fd
1x undertaker
2x predator

Alright, I'll bite, what happened to the Envies? I too have bounced around in the Envy/Banger family myself.

So the envies were cool, but they really only excelled at throwing them hard lay ups were not ending up as close as I wanted. I had no touch with them. I also found that a putt at say 5mph would fade hard and a put at 6mph would hold straight and fly on by. Where did you end up in regards to bangers/envies?

I can definitely sympathize with everything you say about envies. I do have a couple fairly beat proton envies that are mellow enough for smooth putting. But they're only really grippy enough in perfect weather conditions.

I'm not using envies at the moment, but if I do try them again I'd likely try cycling electron envies. MVP seems to have finally saturated the market so you can buy as many of those as you like now. And hopefully the overmold would slow down the seasoning process enough to make them cost effective.

I enjoyed the bangers, especially in the jawbreaker plastic, but they seasoned pretty darn fast (I was using them for driving and putting). After a couple months of using a mix of four jawbreaker bangers, almost all of them had lost all of their fade. (I likely slam trees off the tee more than the average person...). With almost no fade they required more touch than I posses (especially for upshots).

I'm trying a mix of big-bead aviars at the moment (KC, JK, Yeti). I've never loved the deeper putters, but I have big enough hands that I'm forcing myself to try it. I do appreciate the plastic consistency (and the easy availability of all of KC/JK/Yeti), and what thus far seems to be the slow seasoning process. I got lucky and picked up a beat JK and a beat KC as well so I can understand what a really seasoned one feels and flies like.

First off nice bag. Looks pretty solid.

As far as envy's... Yeah man premium plastic takes forever to season in to straight I've got a stack of 167ish plasma pfn's and I've got maybe 3/8 that are straight at low speed. The proton is a little slick in the winter, plasma is slightly better, I enjoy the fade it generally helps me not over shoot the basket.

I picked up a 174 cosmic electron soft in the summer off an auction, I have decided to finally start an electron cycle. It putts pretty similar to its light plasma buddies, a little straighter. However it approaches way straighter with some great turns or laser straight precision. It started out more in the ohm/ anode kinda stability rather than envy. Banged two aces in a round with it and it's firmly itb. Beware of the extra glide, it's a rocket powered laser by comparison.

Love the RR's!! And the Comets!! I used to throw forces and the occasional pred... solid bag. Sad to see the relay didn't make the cut

I tried to love the envy, it is still the best disc for 150-200ft standstill approaches, but outside of that range, I couldn't get dialed. The relay is great, but I have a few old fd's that are my absolute babies. So it just didn't have a spot, but I have it to a buddy and he is loving it.

The rr gets lots of work, so do the comets. What did you find that you like better than the force/pred?

Some proper formwork and getting old! Haha. I lost a lot of juice, just dumped my stock of FR esp forces, I kept my baby blue one that used to be wicked straight.

I use a 165 tesla/ wave in that slot these days. I really liked the esp forces especially when they broke in they were amazing.

Big shake up. Been leaning this way for a while. I've gone to a similar line up before and I straight up score better. So going to ride this one until I get bored again. It has been really nice though.

Putters:
5x aviar ( 1 dx glow p&a, 4 kc)
1x zone

Mids:
4x roc (2dx, 2kc)

Fairways:
2x fd (c-line)
2x eagle (star)
1x roadrunner (star)
2x predator (z)

Drivers::
1x wraith
4x destroyer (all above in star)

Shift bag, Rosie down under. -4 front nine, three pole hit to roll aways. One all the way down a cliff. Ended +2. Thats the game though. Almost all aviar and roc shots, the rest were really just situational.
