Per Discmania Facebook page, the new Mystery Box (Dec 25) will include the DD3 Cloudbreaker.

Outside a passing reference in one of Simon's videos (iirc destroyer-like, more understable than PD2) I haven't seen any more info on it, but am definitely excited about the possibility of an out of the box replacement for beat P-PD2s.

From Egale's ig.

The bottom of the wing looks quite concave and the wing is quite high as well. It looks pretty overstable, not sure if this is the destroyer bottom

Jesus, after buying loads of PD2's and Destroyers to find that special one or two, now they have designed a disc that was what I was looking for the whole time?!!

I'm out of mystery box funds. I figured this was coming out later in the spring. Oh well I'll have to snag some of the production release.

Managed to grab a Cloudbreaker Mystery Box before they sold out.

They're not shipping out until after the new year so perhaps I can get some throws in next weekend.

Eagle saying they were going to replace half his PD2s is what sold me.

checked early this morning and nothing. well, maybe that is a sign that I have bought enough this year.

but if these go, and you got the right runs you got a collector! my thought from the get go was that PD2 was an older tool and needed an update.

Not as overstable as the PD2...I doubt I'll bag one. I can already find brand new PD2s that have some turn (usually S-Line). Plus I have beat up PD2s. If it's really a "Destroyer clone" as I've heard it called, I'm sure it'll end up being a popular Discmania mold.

I think that it will probably go farther out of the box than beat in PD2s

Fwiw...

Destroyer, XCal, Scorpius, and PD2 all have the same rim width according to my calipers. They all have some variation and don't measure the same around different spots of the rim, but they're all in the .900"-.910" range. The bottom of the wing on my one PD2 looks slightly different, but the other three look identical to my eyes. And obviously the Xcal is more blunt and the PD2 has that Discmania top with the rounded edge, but the Scorpius and Destroyers look like they might as well be the same disc.
