Lol this is kinda what I was hoping to learn with all these comparisons. With mvp and axiom having similar slots in their lineup it was more of a question if one mold was more consistent than the other or if one flew closer to the numbers than the other.

I never clicked with any of the overmold drivers. I tried the Wave, Inertia, Photon, Relativity, and probably a couple of others that I'm forgetting. Not that any of them were bad but none of them "wowed" me enough to care much about throwing them.

I also haven't gone out of my way to really try out any of their mids. I have thrown a Deflector, Reactor, and a Hex but they just didn't give me a reason to kick anything out of my bag.

Their putter lineup is solid (I prefer the Envy but I have bagged the Ion, Proxy, and Atom in the past as well as a brief stint with the Entropy.

The Crave and Volt are great fairways. Not just great in the MVP/Axiom lineup but just great in general compared to anyones fairway drivers.

Not sure as one of the reasons I have tried to make MVP work for me was the better grip than a Tern. Out of nowhere I started getting slips with Terns, and Waves have been a decent alternative.

It's the fission that seems kinda slick to me. Never had any issues with proton or neutron.

MVP is constantly experimenting with their plastics. There was a really old blend of Neutron that was very stiff and pretty slick, then they went very gummy, almost GStar gummy, with regular Neutron for awhile, and now it's somewhere in between. Fission's been the same. There've been at least 3 different runs of the plastic. The OG was gummy, the second was stiff and slick ish, and the new one is a blend of the two.

My personal favorite has been the gummy blend of Neutron and Proton circa 2015. I have drivers from back then that are still in great shape with amazing grip.

I throw Waves. Waves go far.

That's all I can add.

Factual.

Separately, home from vacation tonight. The new Wrath has a little bubble/blister in the rim. I'm sure I can sand and smooth it down, but maybe they're pushing hard to make up for lost time. Surprised it made it past the factory and the retailer. Not so surprised that I won't give it a good run, but not the usual elation with a new toy.

That's too bad, you could always contact mvp, I've heard things about them replacing the weird ones. Even one I saw L2 out of the gyro box the guy was raving about how well MVP treated him and sent a replacement

I'm definitely in the wave camp over the vanishes. Both good discs but the wave was better. Most of my waves have been as expected. Got a freaky blue plasma pfn, cursed by Monocacy so that it would always fly 30' too deep. He musta beat just enough. It's my longest/ straightest/glidiest one I own.

I get a decent amount of flight variation plastic to plastic and with weight differences on the waves. The plasma wave should almost have different flight numbers.

Yeah some of em are a toss up but generally the half slot jump between MVP/Axiom is usually a fairly close jump. I'm still not sure about the insanity being a broken in inertia. Alike sort of, they kind of relate but it's a different flight. I could power up a 155 inertia and it's dead straight, I can still hook good anny's or hyzer. A heavy inertia I can cheese on an anhyzer and still get a straight path, small turns and a small but fast fade (kinda dumps).

With an insanity at the same light weight it's a wider but still tight S ( with the right disc that's not too worn in). A worn one will wander further anhyzer and possibly pan wider as well. More power means more turn, sometimes a lot more turn. More glide as it hyzers out too less dump, but if you plan your anny arc to hit closer to the ground you can still thread a straight shot.

Both great discs in their own right, but still different... not quite different enough to pack both in a small bag though. A lot of different results depending on how you throw. If you like a touch of anny and nose down or a straight thumper- inertia. If you like a carefully planned anhyzer flattish long arc or touch of hyzerflip then- insanity.

Lol I'm trying to prevent a $200 plastic purchase where I grab one of everything that's been out of stock since I started dabbling.

I went to one of the local shops around me recently and saw the wall fully stocked with all the molds and I actually said out loud to myself "No, you don't need all of them, just get one".

I sent MVP and the retailer a note this morning. We'll see how it turns out. It was *immediately* apparent upon opening the mailer. Not the end of the world by any means but surprising when it's this obvious and on the contact surface that someone at some point wouldn't have said no and pulled it.

Yeah that seems pretty obvious. I am interested to see what they do as they tend to have a good history in resolving issues like this.

They've already responded this morning. Good folks, and I'm still really excited about integrating the Wrath. It's just going to take a little extra effort to find the starting line.

I think out of all the new releases the wrath is the one I'm most intrigued with. For it supposedly being a broken in tesla you wouldn't guess that based on its shape. All the ones my shop had were pretty much board flat, looked kinda fireballish.

I did pick up a used bin low 170s proton tesla over the summer as well as a new upper 150's cosmic neutron tesla. The CN is a fun disc to throw, it'll go far on a good clean FH rip but if I'm having wrist roll issues that day it doesn't get thrown. The proton faded more than I was expecting but still manages to get pretty decent distance. In reality it's pretty similar flight wise to my newer run beefier proton and cosmic neutron volts, so I've been throwing the volts in that fd2 to pd type slot hoping to beat them in a bit and straighten them out.

I like the idea of a broken in Tesla but in reality I'm expecting these newer wraths to be fairly beefy to start. I wanna think most of the ones my shop had were upper 150's to mid 160's, I typically like drivers in the high 160's and will do low 170's depending on the disc.

Fireball/motion I'm not sure of. I bag firebirds and maxes, and my biggest concern about the fireball or motion is the nose shape…both are sharper noses than the fatboy blunt noses on the fb and max…which I think helps make them awesome FH roller discs. Local shop also had some of the new James Proctor metal flake maxes, which felt really nice.

I like the stability of the plasma insanities I picked up over the summer. Not flippy out of the box for me, thrown on a slight FH hyzer it'll ride a nice tight s line. Newer run neutrons seemed to have a lower parting line, so probably go that route instead of virus/impulse.

I know people complain the newer craves aren't as stable as the old ones. I like the flight of the newer ones, pretty much hyzerflip laserbeams, but not a ton different in flight from the heavier neutron relays I have. Anybody throw the new servos and compare to the newer craves? I know the resistors aren't as beefy as they used to be, didn't know what to expect from the servo.
