[Discmania] Discmania Evolution Instinct

For me, the color glow PDs' flights are quite similar to the FD2s, just faster with more fade. Granted, I broke my finger and couldn't test it extensively, but I didn't see too much turn out of the FD2. My opinion may change once I get a bunch of throws in, though. (FYI, I max out at 475' or so of golf d, so not quite as much as you. My longest was near 600', thrown for golf d, not all out d.)

I bag 2 fd2v3. I have a pink one with lots of color and a blue one that has much less color to it. My pink is noticeably more stable than my blue and gets little to no turn (flies very close to the instinct) where my blue thrown flat and hard leaks right maybe 5-10' (not what I would call turn). So depending on how an fd2v3 molds up it can either be very similar to an instinct or slightly less stable. I do know my dark maul PD was the straightest of the premium plastic PDs I have thrown.

You should really try the FD2. REALLY nice disc. It really reminded me of the original CE TLs. Very straight with minimal power. (I throw 500'+ and thew it dead straight 350' with ~60% power.) I wish I could throw it more, but I broke the tip of my middle finger on my throwing hand. Trying to throw = OOOOOOUUUCHHH...:wall:

FD2v3 is in my bag already. I was referring to the new Lat64 and Yikun molds.

Sorry about your finger.

So I'm looking for a Teebird type disc that's not a Teebird to pair with my FDs. Is this it? Is it more HSS than the Teebird? Or perhaps the FD2v15 or whatever we're at

Today is the day. I got my Instinct's and got to hold them yesterday (still haven't thrown them). But the plastic is nice and grippy, more so than the current C-line. It's a little softer than the C-line. Comparable to the Hybrid plastic from DD from what my memory recalls. Everything is totally embossed with the exact weights on them as well.

I can't wait to see how these fly. I've seen some guys say it's practically a PD, while others have said it's less stable than the FD2v3.

I threw a pink and a blue in a field and they were very similar to a teebird. I was comparing them to a beat in star, 12x nybo, and a champion. It fit right in between the beat in star and 12x nybo for me.

Word is these crashed the innova europe website on release. Jussi said it is one of the most successful new releases in DM history...don't get caught sleeping on these!

Haven't thrown an Instinct but the reviews sound like it may be a good FD compliment. I have thrown the FD2v? a bit and it's a decent FD compliment. I believe broomer mentioned some lateral movement and I would agree. I see a little turn with decent fade. I like it but so far I like the champion TL3 better for a compliment to my S-FD.

I played my first round this weekend with my Instinct. I currently bag the new RR FD2 as well as two CD2's in different plastics. This disc definitely falls right inbetween those two molds for my arm speed. The Instinct to me flies just like my CD2's but with a little harder dump on the end. It's got more glide than the FD2 which I like. I'm curious to see how this disc performs once it breaks in a little.

How does it feel in the hand? I think both the TeeBird and Explorer have a very sharp inner rim edge. . FD2 feels better but so many runs that it´s hard to buy "the right one"

I personally prefer the "full" hand feel that the straight, almost convex wing of that the RR gives me. The Instinct has a very agressive wing shape that when combined with the narrowish rim width, makes it tough to get as good of a grip on, for me.

After a week with the instinct I have decided to go FD2v3 for this slot. The instinct is a great disc but I have been throwing FDs for so long that the feel and flight of the FD2 feel right at home for me. I may revisit the instinct later on.

I'm going to have to get some more time in with the Instinct to determine where it fits, or at all. I currently bag a G and S line CD2. I'm curious how the Instinct would compare to a more OS C-line CD2. I really like the stability of the RR FD2 and I don't see that disc going anywhere.

I will say, the Neo plastic feels phenomenal.

I don´t really get why this disc is so expensive here in Sweden. . it´s MADE in Sweden still its $4-5 more than most other discs in that type of plastic

it´s quite interesting that the Active line can be so cheap and the NEO so expensive ( more that twice the price ). . one is made in Sweden not so far from here, the other one half way around the world

Threw this back to back with a royal rage fd2 and they fly SO TRUE to their numbers. The instinct consistently was 20' to the left of the fd2 at 400'. Just an awesome combo...

As an Explorer fan i assumed the Instinct would be amazing, out of the shelves slightly more HSS than i like for my go-to speed 7. The result is a Teebird with glide that still is stable enough to cycle. Today i have SE Explorers covering same stability as Night strike 1, 2 and straight Teebird, with the Instinct the fourth spot of my go-to speed is covered and eventually i bet i could just run a cycle of 4 Instincts. Perfect beneath C-CD2 or beat to straight C-PD and OS PD. The 6 drivers i really need on my wooded courses...

I'm fairly confident DM asked Latitude to keep the quality and consistency top notch, adding to the production costs. No shrunken plate leading to shoulders and every colour got the same dome and PLH.

Thats globalisation for ya. You can* go to Alibaba and buy stuff from China at a fraction of what you pay in your homeland. Shipping costs are not the kicker anymore in the modern world.

*Whether you SHOULD is another question.

Oversimplification, of course a mold designed by a second part will cost slightly more than Latitudes own mold?
Sure with Innova it doesn't but I would argue that can also be noted on the inconsistency.
