Paige Pierce To Discraft 2020

So, if not for the pandemic you're all in for a cross country drive to pick up a premium plastic Fierce? Maybe Jolt would hop on a plane to get one.

Hahaha of course. If there's no pandemic I'm quitting my job, getting a tank full of gas, and going off in search of discs... I live in Mass, so if there is an MVP Open this year and people are allowed to attend, I will probably do so and maybe luck out at the tour vendors.

I'm with you Ryan.... and I'll drive too... if you're dead ass enough to allow it. [emoji106][emoji41]

So Paige did not win Ledgestone, so no hope for a premium Fierce yet. . .i was hoping she would win so Discraft could have a "
congratulate to the win disc"

But i want a US Fierce. . the Big-Z she threw looked to be quite stable

I did a bit of fieldwork last night with a First Run, a Cryztal POTY and a Big Z, I was also throwing one of the 2020 JC glow aviars to compare. The big Z is for sure the most stable of the group, but it still has good glide and will hold anny lines for quite some time before fighting out. I could see swapping the Cryztal out of my bag for a Big Z if the weather is a bit windy or there is some shot where I really need to crank on a putter. But what originally got me to start bagging the FR Fierce was how little fade it has at the end of it's flight, the Cryztal adds a tick of stability sure, but it still has that forward pushing fade when thrown flat. The big Z loses a bit of that magic.

People who like the shallow feel of the Fierce but wished it flew more like a JK/JC Aviar or Luna will probably love the big Z.

So, the 2020 James Conrad Aviars are out? Have they been up for sale at the Innova Pro Shop?

Yep. Now I see they have been out.

She´s geting close..991rated now.

Can we get a 991 Cryztal Fierce please!!

Edit. . i wonder how many rating points she lost by laying up for the win. . she does that alot

Probably pretty negligible. Figure 10 points for a stroke. Her rating right now is based off 56 rounds. She has 8 or 9 wins in her rating. So if she did that 4-8 times, we are talking 1 point.

wonder if geting to 1000 will be Paiges main focus for 2021 and if that makes her push even harder when she have big leads an COULD play safe

I´m kind of surprised that Hokom is 2nd in rating

She is likely helped some from the cancelling of the early, more open-style tournaments which are not her strong suit (plus not playing DDO). However, she has been pretty strong the last year. 9 of her rounds in her rating are 990 or higher.

Could she and should she try to "optimize " her 2021 seasons to get to 1000? Drop a few events that doesn't rate that great and even play a few MPO events.

Looks like simply not playing would get her up to 996 next Feb. If she played 6 rounds between now and then and averaged 1015 rated golf, she'd hit 1000.

Sounds like that could be done if she wanted to...but I guess she will take some time of after this weekend.

But to be the first woman to reach 1000 is huge, I hope she goes for it and plays a few tournaments this winter with high rated competition

It's so strange.... when I watch her play I'm always like really...she is that good? And bam...she's in the top 5 most of the time. It's pretty cool to see her develop her backhand the past few years. But her putting... that looks funked out...and now days she's known for dropping in 30-40ft+ putts?!?! I did not see that coming.

I´m not saying shes not good..BUT she has not won a DGPT in 2020 like Cat has. . .Cat has a win and a few 2nd and 3rd in the events and is ahead of Hokom in the standings. .. . so i thought Cat would be ahead in Ratings to.

But if feels like Hokom skipping a few events in 2020 was good for her rating
