Cubby got his 300th ace!

The course was Manalapan Rec Center. The distances are listed here. About half the hole have light trees, a couple heavy trees. A lot of the videos on his blog were made there. I'm not much of a fan of the course except that because of the athletic fields it plays around its well lit at night. Cubby hooked my friend and I up with little glow sticks and tape so that we could continue playing once it got dark. He threw a skip ace on his round just before we met.

That is a great story bro. Thanks for sharing!

the throw looks pretty real but the aftermath of him walking to the basket without a bag or any other discs leads me to believe that he enjoys playing by himself and plays the same hole more then once a round. but in his defense i have 3 career aces and none of them were on practice shots so to get to 300 even if they are practice or not in a round with others, its pretty amazing. some of the utube vids do look like really short holes though

For what its worth I've met Cubby out on a course and ended up playing a round with him. He was out with his video camera and certainly wasn't throwing several discs a hole until he hit one. In fact he only played with 2 or 3. I love his blog and what he's doing.

and I can't wait to see him on Leno!

Good to hear - this clears a lot up. I look at Cubby's blog and videos, and I like it. He certainly doesn't play golf the way most of us do - lugging around a camera and playing in the rain at 2am - but to each his own. Nice job, Cubby - keep it up.

Thanks to all those Disc Golfers out there that have had positive things to say about me or what my blog and YOUTUBE videos do to promote the sport in a positive light.

For those of you that are hung up on my aces or distances of the shots or what ever else bugs you about what I do, I can't help you. My advice to you is just go out and play more Disc Golf and be content and happy with your own game and efforts to promote the sport.

BTW, Hole 9 at Rutgers although it is the shortest hole on the course. The distance is 104 feet not 57 feet like the sign says. And I challenge you to come out and Ace it. Not as easy as it seems and is seldomed Aced.

Warm regards to all. If you are ever in New Jersey get in touch with me and we will throw some rounds together.

Cubby

Well, if you are the real deal Cubby, welcome! Can't wait to see you on Leno!

IF not, still one hell of a reply! Loved it! :D

I have 6 aces and 2 of them were not on my first attempt. I'll say that they don't feel as good as hitting it on your first drive but it still feels good... that said I still tell people I have 6 because hitting them is not easy regardless of what toss you're on (I normally give the disclaimer that 2 are practice tosses). I actually hit 2 of those aces on one easy hole and I'm almost less proud of those since it's an easy one even though they were on the first toss (as opposed to my 360ft ace on my 3rd toss).

My most recent ace was on an ace run where I just went back and forth between 2 bookmatched holes that were about 200-210ft. I had 2 bounce outs before one stuck but it was still fun.... practice is practice but i count it. i mean hell, it's not like there's an official "ace record book" or anything.

Technically none of my aces came in a "sanctioned" round because I have never played a tourney (yet) so by that theory none of mine would count. that's my take on it.

I am so over Cubby. A shameless self promoter. Granted he makes kids wanna ace with the footage, but enough is enough.

Cubby! I got a question for you. Are ALL of your 300+ aces on the first attempt (1 shot per hole, per round)? Or do you set up the camera and throw your bag? Either way I respect what you do for the sport but i'm just curious?
