Classic Review lines

From Wellsbranch's review of The Narrows in Chattanooga: "Anyone who brings a friend here for their first round ever, will be going home friendless."

I laughed loudly, then read the line to my wife, who joined me in boisterous laughter. Well done, bro.

@Naenae's recent review of First Calvary Baptist Church:

"FCB is free to play…mostly. The true price of admission is one Bible verse per tee sign. I found myself imaging some awkward cardmate discussions:

Susie: "Hey Bob, what did you get last hole?"

Bob: "You mean the 'The wages of sin are death' hole?"

Susie: "No, no…the 'It is appointed for all men to die once, and after this judgment' hole!

On the one hand, a free-to-play disc golf course on church property is, without a doubt, a fine display of Christian charity. On the other, one gets to wondering if second tees were added merely to double the "Thus saith the Lord" potential."

@Naenae has been killing it recently. We PMed a bit recently after playing some of the same courses in the twin cities area. Reviews are spot on to what I see. I'm a big fan.

I guess the review pissed off Doofenschmitz. See he came in and gave blanket down votes for both reviews for the course.
Do you guys have a separate rating scale for practice areas? I've never reviewed one, but if I used the normal scale this sounds like a .5 disc course based on the 2 reviews.

Yeah, I don't get the ratings.
But the review was a hoot.

Just a suggestion:
Maybe whomever updates the course conditions, could include the price for unleaded as of the date played?

Here's the basis of my review, the original review. Mono ran with it on his.

I don't know which is whackier: calling it a gold course or the 4.7 rating.

Add SillyBizz to the dick list

Says the guy who bullies new members/reviewers and lectures them about how they should or should not use the thumbs up/down button.

Monocacy's review of the Sheetz Practice area in Durham, NC is full of chuckles.

Keep in mind, it's just a single basket. If someone takes this at face value, it'll probably take a while before the humor kicks in.
I'm the Udisc Course Ambassador for Sheetz Gold, and I'm the course designer of the Gold Course (that has the famous 2000 ft hole which is the longest in NC!!). Please follow Monacacy's example and be kind in your reviews of Sheetz. Like Monocacy and others, if you give a DGCR or Udisc rating please play along.

At one point in history Sheetz Gold was the highest rated course in NC (even though it lacked enough votes to count in the tallies for the "Best course"). [There is and was a purpose behind this that you are on your own to figure out.]

Sometime in the last 6 months Udid finally fixed one of their MAJOR ratings flaws and took away the ability to delete reviews when you don't like the rating. Since that time some joyless, curmudgeonly, internet self-righteous pricks with no sense of humor have been going on Udont and given Sheetz lower ratings. If you rate the course on Udic please don't be a jerk and just play along! Can't we have a little fun? "Why so serious?" -the Joker

Says the guy who calls out the petty negative votes in both instances. Or, did you miss that?

Anger, deflection, and denial are the most predictable responses when being held responsible by others for your actions/"called out".

It's pretty clear that you don't care about others experiences here. You seem to be more wrapped up in strangers acknowledging you/validifying you, AKA the like button on reviews. Only thin-skinned, insecure people would get defensive about something so trivial as a thumbs down on a review on a disc golf forum.
