I know there's been some discussion out there about the Stalker...
Recently I've disced down to mid-ranges, then tried to build back up.
Buzzz / Wasp combo has been my mid-range crutch, but I've had trouble getting my Buzzz to fly over 275' without lots of headroom.

Enter Stalker...I got an ESP Stalker with my PDGA membership, and I'm really liking it. I feel comfortable putting it on just about any line (anny, hyzer, straight) and don't have to muscle it to have it break that 275' barrier (in fact, getting it over 325' without too much effort).

So, what do you guys think of the Stalker at this point?

You missed an option.

E. Don't like the Stalker - I'd rather throw an Aerobie Epic.

No...I think my options cover your answer. If the Stalker does the same things the Epic does (which it might...like, go in the air, and stuff) then that's the answer for you. If you don't like it, you don't like it.

I guess I could've added an "I hate the Stalker and would rather throw a warped paper plate" option, but I figured we could keep this civil and keep you people who feel the need to go out of your way to say nasty things under wraps...

I really like/liked the disc when I first got it. I had a Z and ESP. Great disc. But somehow it left my bag and I haven't put it back. Much respect for the disc, just don't use it.

Like it, but care much more for my CE Eagles.

Word to the WISE

My fellow disc golfers...discraft needs to give me a job for what the stalker is capable of...and of course...how I promote it.

TLs...trackers..wasps..XLs....Drones...Tbirds....and what ever else has matching similarities......the stalker is capable of and then some of all of these discs

Every hand I have put the stalker in doesn't understand how it when so long without the ultimate disc...

I play tight long courses...large skips and bad turn overs are not an option.....nothing beats the placement.....not to mention....if thrown correctly, the disc is capable of making the shot to long for the buzz and too tight for most other discs

Here's my tip....try hyzer snaps down hill str8 at target.....long anhyzers that need to finish soft.....tall anhyzers that need to fight back...and my favorite....THROW THE DISC FREE OF SNAP..for pleasent throws on tight up hill shots...much like a buzzz.....but tough to execute with TLs...drones...xls....Tbirds

at the very least....use the disc as the "zero" in your throwing line up....buzzz is a negative....wraith is a positive....the disc will adjust your game because of it's superior balance

Good luck yall....it is the SUPER BUZZZ as discraft would put it! I just call it the Tracker(which is not a TL)Wasp:thmbup:

No disrespect....but one is a tomohawk bomb....the other happens to be the disc I keep after I through the rest away....STALKER....the most versatile disc in the game....

I know what the intended uses and proper throwing technique is for each disc; it was simply an analogy to say that I'd rather throw the Epic, which is regarded by many to be the flaming bag-o'-poo of the disc golf world, than the Epic.

And I don't like the Epic either or have one in my bag, just in case anyone throws in the, "don't insult what I throw and I won't insult what you have in your bag" line

Jury still out but liking it so far. Haven't used it much on the course but getting some nice throws a little over 300' on the practice field.

It's all good...hope someday you experience the success the stalker can only provide...I have lost(nearly) friends going out on night rounds with a stalker and a putter....why?....they can't take it when a mid range is tearing them up

but I would like to know what you throw in it's place...long str8 easy landing shot downhill, uphill, flatground, in the wind...I just use one weapon...you know the name.

Love it. Had three in the bag, 170,73,&76, now 73&76 but just grabbed a sweet looking cryztal in that tealish color:)

IMO the stalker is weight sensitive so if your first was/is not what you expected, bump up/down.

172 ESP Black Stalker

To flippy for me. All it did was turn over on me. If you throw a Leopard, you don't need one. The Leopard takes care of shots where you'd use the Stalker, but better.

Not a fan.

TX, that light weight ESP stalker is not a real stalker. IMO the ESPs aren't all that, even the 170+ white ones. IMO it's more novelty which I think the crystal kinda fits that bill but is truer(stable). The ESP is better for anhyzers or flips but a lighter z with wear will be better. Unless you prefer the ESP grip. I'd rather see a pro d stalker, gripper but half the price
