the last one is sick...looking to start dying myself...any tips on such detail?

Start with an easy design with little detail and long lines. Once you get the hang of cutting vinyl you can then start to look at more complex designs. It took me 2 dyes before I jumped into higher detail and more complex designs. Keep plugging away at it and do not get discouraged if and when it doesn't turn out the way you planned. Learn your lesson and move on to the next.

Also invest in some proper equipment to make the process easier. I recently pick up a proper light box from an art store for $30 to replace my makeshift one. This has made a huge difference in cutting out the finer detail in pics. If you make one at home try to use florescent lighting.

The bet advice is always use sharp blades!!! 1 blade for every 1-2 stencils

this is quality advice...appreciate it...there are a few of us that are looking to start getting into dying, this advice really helps...plus if we split the costs it should be cheaper...you have any pics of some discs you have done?

got ya...anything with that much detail and looks that great would take multiple upon multiple attempts to create...how long have you been dying?

Not too long just a couple of months. Sorry for the harsh response previously my wife was pissin me off. Anyways yeah start smaLl to build your confidence otherwise you'll just be wasting vinyl and plastic. If you want some good canvas to start with get a misprint pack from discraft. I just got one and 9/10 are dyeable. Stupid black stalker BLACK is for putters!!!!!

Just like Schnelle said, start simple and get a feel, then go for more complicated stuff. Start on the better plastics, X-outs and misprints are a good place to start. But be warned, it's addictive. I've only been dyeing a few months as well, there's a link to my gallery in my signature.

Schnelle....black stalker....do black on black, maybe you can get a ghost image, like ghost flames.

Appreciate it...I am trying to grab some vinyl to try out a few discs with minimal detail so that I can build from there...keep those fresh discs comin...

@burntneuron...i will keep your warning of it being addictive in mind...just looking to add my own flavor to my bag...i see the same stamps everyday...looking to mix it up...

I cut my geeky teeth on The Intellivision and the Commodore 64. These are going to be my first dyes... Appropriate... since they are my frist tattos.
