these drinks equate to about $0.0075 per member. If you want to start trimming the budget, this is not the place to start. The website, total travel expenses, failing programs, etc. are worth scorn. This is not.

Sure, if you're not the one doing the work for FREE to get the course in, do the minor maintenance, run the tournaments, and the myriad of other stuff that A LOT of us do for the good of the group.

not really. it seems that most people think, "these guys spend countless hours doing thankless work and if they want a few drinks with dinner, I'm fine with a portion of my dues going toward that because I think they deserve it."

Pesonally, I don't see what is wrong with that. Obviously, others like yourself and Ray and Lithicon do. And that's fine, your entitled to your opinion, but you guys act like everyone is one big group of dumb a.s.sholes because they disagree with you. Though, that has been mainly ray and lith.

If you want to fight the PDGA and make it better, great, more power to you, but this is not the issue to do it. There is nothing to gain by making this a hot button issue.

look at the members of your local club. I've bought our local course president and TD beers before when I have seen him out. We've bought beer to concrete pouring jobs.

Our local meetings aren't 3 days long in a place where eating out is needed either. To have a drink with dinner while traveling is fine with me. All it takes is a budget and common sense and we'll be fine.
