600' goal is done! 170 pro destroyer

I still don't see how he can throw that far with that kind of form.......
The reason he was breaking 500' was because of the last 12" of his throw. He's hititng it hard. The reason he got to 600' was because he improved the rest of his throw. It's the opposite of how almost every other single person learns to throw.

It's actually a nice demonstration of how important that last 12" really is even though most people concentrate on everything else.

600' is more of a milestone more than anything. While I am sure it felt really good to hit, it may not translate that well into actual course play.

is this the video your talking about Scooter?

it doesnt look like any of these guys can throw really hard, except the guy at 2:20 in the video.

2;20 is Garret, obviously you missed Avery Jenkins. Dude can throw FAR

they are probably not throwing that hard really...crossing that lake at that elevation and the way they are throwing it looks to be about equivilant to 420' on flat land to clear the lake...so they are probably just throwing easy.

Or Bratten who according to Schweb was throwing farther to the left than he had ever seen........and they were actually as far as Avery's straight on shot that cleared the road.

He is the guy at 2:05

In another post it came up that this run of USDGC 09 Pro Bosses were really inconsistent. It may have even been you who mentioned that? Some were pretty flippy and others were really, really stable. So maybe he had thrown some flippy ones and was adjusting?

cool. but im pretty sure i can throw 100' past that guy...the only one i saw putting some velocity on his hand is the lil chubby guy at 2:20

Is that why Robbie has the unofficial Arm speed record?

I remember him breaking 600ft with a Tsunami.........way before the fast discs today......and also has a 718' unofficial throw at sea level.

Yea they were crazy inconsistent......some were super stable and some were like Sidewinders.

BTW 6:45 was a Crush!

Going to the left is a lot father than straight ahead.

At Colorado States this past weekend, someone got a 600' Ace! Granted it was downhill, but a very tight gap to hit. Heard a rumor that it is the longest ace in a PDGA tournament.

Beaver Ranch Course
This Hole
The basket is way down the hill to the right... dont worry, you can't see it...

ya i have seen that video before, and the other one where those guys are helping newer guys get some distance, they do those throws at the top of a hill and throw across a valley and back up a hill, so its not really uphill...other wise the camera would not be able to see the top of the hill, like we all can see watching the video.

i like how low he throws the discs though, and his release is probably one of the cleanest i have watched online.

The video given is a uphill shot.......I have played that exact hole.

I love how you make excuses about how you can throw farther than these guys when it is highly unlikely.....at least right now.

I would advise working on your golf game and cleaning up the 1st half of your throw.........since you are OATing in order to get distance which really isn't a good thing to make a habit.

i thought they say in the video the marks are estimated for flat ground. Meaning hitting this mark at 300ft on this hill would equate to a 350ft drive if the hill wasn't there.

I'm probably wrong.

No clue but Robbie can hit 525' 3 out of 5 times with a PREDATOR!

I still have yet to see him throw a Nuke and he has to throw Preds because everything else flips for him........He uses Surges and Flashes in D contests though and I'm sure he would use the Nuke now.

So he'd flip the nuke, but you're sure he uses it.
