favorite putter

I use a 175 Wizard inside 25 feet and a 168 Voodoo outside 25.

I use Discraft Challengers. The CryZtal putters for drives/upshots and the elite X soft for 30 feet in. both in 172-174 weight

how many courses have water that close to the basket?

There is a course in Owensboro that has a few holes that are reasonably close enough to the water where one might benefit by using a floater, especially in the wind. Same could be said for Basil Griffin in BG.

This is especially true for those holes where the baskets are near the edge of creek bluffs (hole #1 at Yellow).

At Hoyt Grove in Stillwater Ok. Basket #7 is about 10ft from the water and #18 is about 15ft from the creek. Hole #13 is close and Holes #8 #9 and #14 plays right along the creek.

My first throw today on #7 skipped in to the Creek. I could see it on the edge but other places in the creek are hard to tell how deep it is and it is also pretty nasty water.

I have gone back to putting with my 174 Soft Magnet. The damn thing just works. The only problem is I am having problems over 50ft. Anyone got a good approch disc they can recommend.

aviar has been working great for me...i use my soft magnet within 20-30 feet, but don't like to use it in heavy wind...used to use my shark for those instances, but the aviar works great for those, and for the longer putts...

Yea, in heavy wind, I have to put the Magnet away, and use my Star Coyote.

Pro D Challenger.. Beats up quick love the stiff feel in my hand and $8 to replace it. Brand new great driving up to about 225-250.

I put my 173 Pro D Magnet up against my 174 Soft Magnet, and the Pro D won. Both are great, but with the Pro D, I am hitting long putts at 95%. At the practice field yesterday , I was hitting 50-100ft putts like there was no tomorrow. The Pro D is nice and beat and it works great. Plus the fact that it is black and has chrome lettering, dosen't hurt my feelings either.

 Sounds like you're ready to go Pro!

Not till I can get my drives longer. I got my putting down, now I gotta get my drives in order. I used to be a really good putter. I had an old Pro D magnet, and I was hitting long putts really well. Yesterday, I relized how to do it again. Its all about how you have your fingers under the disc.

I have a 172g Aviar and I hate it. It could be a teeth marks on it when I missed a couple of 8 footers or the crushed edge from me stomping it after missing a 5 footer.

Then, I realized that it wasn't the putter. It was my arm.

I'm having it removed tomorrow.

If that doesn't work, the brain goes next.

Woodpecker<<<worst putter around
