If you're playing random doubles with a bunch of jack asses then I guess I don't know...follow the rules and don't be a douche over a little spending money.[/QUOTE]

Well said

You have to split.

If I park my drive first and that gives you the opportunity to run the ace no-holds-barred... you have to split the ace if you get it.

Even if I didn't park my drive and my partner aced, there should be a split. Because the agreement had already been made (or should just be understood) that what's good for one is good for the other. It's a teamwork thing.

I think if it's random draw doubles split the $$ from that round.

i.e. What if there is a cumulative ace pot? Say a total of $250. In random pick partners: Your partner should get half of that days ace $$$ say 10@ $5=$50, split 50/50. $25 each. You get the rest ($250). This seems only right to me. IMO

All winnings are split in team play. I just dont understand how people think there are certain situations that say otherwise.. Ur playing doubles....team doubles....team...

Theres no "I" in team, thats day 1 stuff... C'mon people

Baggers....

I don't play in any random doubles leagues that actually have ace pools. It seems like a poor format to have an ace pool. All of the "leagues" like that around here just do 100% cash payouts and sometimes cross 51 between the groups.

If you're playing in a regular doubles league/tournament, where you get to pick your partner, I would think you'd want to split the prize money with your buddy.

And i agree with the above statements.

its funny to read some peoples responses on this discussion. i personally wont take the cash for my partners ace cause i didnt hit it but thats me. i dont play disc to make money. i will split it though if it has been talked about before hand or thats how things are run in the area. there is no real rule on how splitting an ace pot should go.

To the ones of you who split it, because everything is split as a partnership. Do you also split CTP's? If you make payout because of your score, thats only thing thats split. Unless stated ahead of time.

Unless there is something special going on I would say doubles don't have a CTP. Most clubs do it at least once a week and that would be a lot of added prizes for nothing.

I have played random draw doubles for 8 years or so, and sometimes people decide before the round if it will be split. If nothing is agreed upon prior to the round the money is yours, the ace pot is an optional thing not everyone pays to be involved. I hit one last year for almost 400$ and it was all mine.

we are already splitting the winnings i am keeping the ace pot.

^ In this case and your partiner didnt poney up, but you may not have gone for it if your partiner didnt play it safe. What,, the Ace pot cost you 5$ Id still give them a cut. Thats the way I am I guess.

In our weekly dubz round our ace pot can get up to 300$. i have seen it hit multiple times and it has never been split. when it comes to who gets to tee off first (you or your partner) we normally just alternate so its fair :) i would not expect someone to split half of their 300$ with me :) i did not hit the ace.
