    2020 NT media coverage

I'm guessing PDGA finally came to their senses and offered to pay CCDG to cover those events. Since CCDG can't monetize the product through simple views, and PDGA has the most to gain from having FPO consistently filmed, I'm hoping this is the case.

Lloyd Weema article in Ultiworld Disc Golf

Geez, bringing up a topic doesn't equate to conjuring sympathy. I understand that it's on the players, I don't sympathize either. If registration for a major event can occur at an arbitrary time, and it isn't publicly announced, then it absolutely will lead to some people being SOL. Our...

Lloyd Weema article in Ultiworld Disc Golf

Part of the issue getting overlooked is that it isn't possible to sign up for everything all at once. Registration opens up at somewhat random times for events: sometimes it's 4 months in advance, sometimes it's 2 months in advance. Sure, it's easy for all the local players who have that one...

    Speculation on Adidas

For what it's worth, Adidas Outdoor is the brand that sponsored Paul, not Adidas. And as much as people want to see this as the first step in disc golf becoming mainstream, I'm pretty sure the potential that they saw in getting involved in disc golf was the potential to sell more shoes.

Run-up or walk-up to your mini - avoiding foot faults

Watch an NFL kicker line up before he kicks a field goal. Very calculated steps to get to his starting position. Then the footwork naturally brings him to the exact spot he wants to plant his left foot. Takes some time practicing with a mini on the ground before you find that spot for yourself.

Critique my form for distance please

Yup, you're missing out on a lot of power. Go practice throwing from a standstill or a one-step, no run up or footwork to worry about. Start feeling some torque from your core, as sidewinder said. Shoulders and hips will give you your precious distance.

Who is the next star in disc golf?

Yup, if I were a betting man, my money is with James Proctor to be the next big star. Not only is his game unbelievable, but his disposition and mental game are as good as I've witnessed in the sport.

    2015 Memorial Championship- NT

How many thunderbird shots do you think you saw paul throw today? Because he threw exactly one. And he simply shanked the shot, had nothing to do with the disc.

    Dave Feldberg ITB (NEW)

I think many guys are quick to place any logo on themselves to claim to be a "sponsored" player. So if an 890 rated golfer knows somebody that is willing to throw a couple shirts and discs their way, they'll sport their brand and say they are a sponsor. And many 1000+ rated guys don't want to...

    Favorite Disc Finals (Distance Driver)

The Wraith used to be my go-to driver, then when it got too flippy, I switched to the Beast. And then I tried throwing a Destroyer... By far my favorite distance driver. I still keep the Wraith and the Beast in my bag, and use them frequently, but the Destroyer is unbeatable.

Review by anhyzer24 in course McCauley Park

2.50 star(s) Well maintained park, very clean. Concrete tee pads and signs on each hole. Bag hangers on roughly half of the sign posts. Boring! There were a couple interesting holes (1, 6, 12, 18), but most of the course is wide open, straight shots, without much length. Compared to the other courses...

If you could go back and tell yourself anything as a Disc Golf beginner...

I'd be a much better player today if I had started playing competitively much earlier. I was intimidated by the thought of playing in a tournament, figured a newcomer had no place in them. Sure wish I had. I think many of you are correct in saying how important it is to learn the discs you...

Review by anhyzer24 in course Indian Foothills Park - Original

3.50 star(s) Indian Foothills Great shot variety, several elevation changes along with many trees makes you be creative with your shot selection. Most holes have several different routes you can take. Not the longest course around, most holes in the 300-350 range, but definitely requires some precise lines...

Review by anhyzer24 in course Cliff Drive

3.50 star(s) Good mix Good use of elevation changes to add difficulty. Woods are pretty tight on the front 9, demanding a little strategy to post a good score. Open back 9, but OB roads, along with well placed trees, add some challenge. Never crowded. I threw every disc in my bag, good mix of length...
