Hey all,
Back it again, putting in some short tees out here at the course. I'm just starting to clear the line, so I don't have exact measurements or pictures yet, but I thought I would go ahead and post a mock up of the hole I was looking for some advice on. This helped a lot the last time I...
Looks like we're actually getting Sublime Lobsters! Tomorrow on mint.com and next week for retailers. I had guessed royal because of the tone/sheen of the plastic in the "teaser" image, but it must have just been the lighting. Still should be a cool release. I already have a small stack of apex...
Holey moley, I'd sell my second cousin for Leopards in sublime. :D
Somebody on the book of Faces claimed they threw it and compared it to a relay, which is 6/5/-2/1. I was half asleep and I can't find the post now. But that definitely sounds tasty.
Yeah! That was cool. Based on what he said about the fairway, and the fact that we already have the Jackalope, I'm hoping that fairway is a freetail-esque speed 6-7. Need more flippy Mint discs. To be fair, most of their molds beat in very well.
It looks like the names (or at least...
Today's teaser image was just a small part of a disc, but my guess is royal Lobsters are on the way. I hope so, the current Lobster is excellent and having one that would beat into an effortless turn would be awesome.
Haha I hear ya.
I would definitely play more stick golf if it wasn't so dang expensive. $50 for me to grab lunch and 18 at my local CC. And I get that a lot of that money goes into mandatory upkeep and salaries, or the course wouldn't be worth playing... but that doesn't make it any cheaper. :p
Is this what converted you from ball golf? Since that game is essentially propped up by its suckers willing to overpay for everything?
(I do enjoy a bit of stick golf myself, but I've never deluded myself into thinking I wasn't overpaying to play.)
Thanks SW22!!
I was working on incorporating the figure 8 momentum today and while I think I'm still working off the rear foot too much, I can definitely feel the power that the shift gives you. I can't imagine how much easier it would be to throw effectively if one actually shifts correctly...
Gonna try this one more time. Attempting to drill and practice my swing in 2020 actually resulted in more pain than before, and lower accuracy and distance. That's right, I consistently made myself worse and more in pain... permanently. Rather unfortunate... but also something I can laugh at now...
You're definitely looking for a Grackle for that slot. The Grackle is going to have a much more gentle forward pushing fade thrown at say 300' of power, than the Alpha. My guess would be that it would pretty much split the difference between Resistor and Crave.
The Grackle and Alpha two of the...
I read either on fbook or the 'gram today, I believe ZJ said that these cover a pretty decent spectrum of stability. More like the early runs than the newer ones, where there was somewhat straight all the way to beefcake. Apparently the domey ones are the less overstable ones.
Should be cool, I...
Holey Moley, that bot is a true necromancer. A practitioner of dark arts long thought forgotten, here to usher in a new age of chaos. Almost 13 years to the day and actually bothered to set a profile picture. What a guy.
I throw 3 currently. 2019 Black Friday proto eternal, the first public release. That one is uber flippy. 2nd run Apex for straight to turn, and then a 1st run sublime that just goes straight unless I rip on it. Considering picking up some of the new ones to see if I can find one even a tick more...
Longhorn was one of, if not the last mold run before the company really blew up a bit with Covid and word of mouth that they were good products. So I think they were behind from the start, selling them basically as fast as they could make them.
Then they spent last year releasing the last of...
Not trying to veer too far off topic, but what's different about the R2 versus the electron for the spin?
Mint doesn't have an understable putter, and I've been trying out a pondy in that spot. It's done well, but I'm not married to it. The pondy's rim is a bit beefy for my taste.
